  4. Im using the okuma osp7000 2x lathe post. I dont have much experience with editing the posts but work has been slow so ive been trying to learn.
  5. The M32, M75 pattern is almost the same kind of cycle but the M73 takes slightly smaller cuts towards the end for the tool pressure. The program you sent is exactly like the one mastercam spits out right now.
  6. My code looks like this: N10 G13(2.0"THRD BAR) N110 G97 S20 M03 M40 P0280 N120 G0 G90 G94 X2.315 Z.09 T1010 M09 N130 Z-.2562 N140 G71 X2.5 Z-2.9 B29 D.014 H.085 M32 M75 F.0833 N150 Z.09 N160 G0 X30.0 Z30.0 N170 M02 P1000 And I want it to look like this: N10 G13(2.0"THRD BAR) N110 G97 S20 M03 M40 P0280 N120 G0 G90 G94 X2.315 Z.09 T1010 M09 N130 Z-.2562 N140 G71 X2.5 Z-2.9 I0.0 H.085 D.014 U.0024 F.0833 M22 M73 M32 N160 G0 X30.0 Z30.0 N170 M02 P1000 THANKS
  7. We have an ikegai lathe at our shop that reads thread cycles longhand. When I output the code every feed rate in the program outputs with an E instead of a F. How can i fix this or am i doing something wrong? Thanks, your help is appreciated
  8. We have an okuma osp7000L lathe at our shop and when I program a thread cycle it wants to put it in G94 instead of G95, it posts a B value which we never run in our thread cycles, there is no U output for last pass and there isn't a M22 showing up. How can I make these changes or do i need to send my post to someone? Thank you for the help
  9. At my shop we approach and retract at Z.1 no matter what. so it would be nice to have an option where you could set a line or position to approach and retract to and it would go there no matter what the values in your tool pathes are. Also being able to control your retract in X from your last cut would be kind of nice.
  10. I went to operation defaults in control definition but it seems the toolpaths take many things in to consideration when determining the approach. It is almost kind of part by part basis. I was wondering if there was a setting so everytime it would be Z.1 no matter what the values are in the lead in lead out, how much is left on the face or how much in Z was left on the rough pass. Thanks for your reply
  11. I am working on mc lathe and am trying to have my tools approach and retract to z.1 everytime. Is there a way to do this so i dont have to keep playing around with the numbers in lead in lead out, ref points or manually edit? I did see an option in machine definition, at the top that said edit reference positions. This option is blank and I cant enter any values. Thanks
  12. So I went to control def. clicked on operation defaults. Clicked on my face, rough, finish...ect toolpaths to change them. But it wont let me go in to the Ref point option and change it. Is this what you were talking about?
  13. Sorry I am kind of new at this. What is the procedure for doing that? Thanks
