Good Day,
+1 Cbly
The break-thru on hard matl. will destroy most
drills...If anything peck the last break-thru @
small amounts.
In my case, I drill for endmill entry, so a minimal break-thru will do it, so an endmill
will not to have to centercut break-thru.

Frank,
just do the work and it will be new knowledge
for you...I have spent many hours learning (practicing) on production time, and using
double-triple the time, so I would benefit
and the next time program faster, and maybe
this is the only way to give your boss what
he wants...and you will become more proficiant.

Good Day,
Frank...our time is never wasted here.
I LEARN something new here every day.
Typical owner, everything is a five minute job.
Maybe if you get enough knowledge from these
good people on this forum...you can look for
another boss with more realistic outlook.
Best of luck

Good Day Frank,
I dont think you want to mix metric programming
and inch. First of all do you have metric endmills and/or metric tool holders.
The easyest way is to draw all dimensions as shown (keeping in mind that mastercam is based
on units.) then inspect the drawing to the metric
drawing. then Xform - scale - to english.
note:
Some machines need parameter change to switch to
metric. (Not just a G-code)

Good Day,
George,
It is very easy, mouse on one side, keyboard in the middle, and spaceball on the other side. If you are right handed, it will not take long for you to pick up spaceball on the left.
Don't try to use the same hand for mouse and
spaceball.

Good mornin',
We used to use 9930...I hope it has been upgraded
Try Castrol Ausol AU-39, no smell for 3 years
Tramp oil rejection very good, an all purpose fluid.
Do not use biocide, it gets rid of smell for a day
and when it returns, its bad. The best Biocide is
to ad fresh coolant every day. DONT let operator
add only water, and use a refractometer to check
mixture .

Good mornin',
Most coolants require, ( the newer ones ) to
use de-ionized water. ( which nobody has )
The hard water ( heavy minerals ) is the problem.
Also skimmer wheeles work good...must keep
oil from covering coolant ( Tupperware affect )
Also run coolant every day to airate (add air).
bacteria has an easy time forming when not circulated.

Good Eve,
If your machine has 6 or more leveling pads
3 to 4 could be used for tramming the spindle
to table.
So use the previous described level,(to earth) then check maintenance book to see if the casting that supports the spindle can be flexed to
improve spindle to table tram.

Good Eve,
You need solids add-on in order to edit a solid.
If you move the hole, you can still use that
geometry for chaining or a drill geometry.
The best way is to have the hole moved in UG
and then (Import parasolid and )use the good geometry.

Good Day notso,
Do you have solids??
I dont think UG brings in history tree for solids.
You might be moving the edges and not the surface/
solid.
