Glenn Conversion of text file to .tl9 file does not work in version9. I called CNC and it is being corrected. Presently, I convert the .txt tool file into .tl8(version 8) and compress version 8 to version 9 tool library. If you have any other method of directly converting .txt tool file to .tl9 file, please update me. Thanks,

I want to create a new tool type in the tool library. For example - a step drill with an option of dimensioning the step diameters and lengths. Then link the diameter to speed. Can anyone help me 1. How to add a new tool type in the tool library? 2. How to attach different speed to the diameters? Any inputs on this will be highly appreciated Thanks NSR

I am trying modify the tools numbers from sequential numbering system to logical tool numbers (8digit) in Mastercam Tool file (.TL8 file). I saved this .txt file in the tools folder in Mastercam dirctory. When I tried to run mastercam, the 8 digit tool number doesn't show up in the "Define Tool Screen" Can anybody help me on this issue?
