Hello Hans
I teach at a small high school and I share the same concerns that you do with the software. I agree with the new file extenstion-it sucks. We have had NUMEROUS problems with the software and setting up hasps, liitations on some and not others, incorrect codes, hasps timing out when they are not supposed to, etc, etc, etc. I know that we don't count much in the big picture of industry in regards to profit but it would be nice to be able to teach a class full of students without the problmes mentioned above cropping up in he middle of the class, I would absoultely love to have cnc software come into the shop and deal with the problems that crop up due to security concerns.
Thanks very much for the help, especialy Colin for your "step by step" instructions as it was exactly what we wanted. This forum is unbelievable help to teachers like myself.

Hello I teach at a small k-12 school and we are trying to make some very simple wooden gears for one of our shop projects. my problem is that I know NOTHING about the field definitions and terms that mastercam x requests in the c-hook. Does anyone know of a site that GREATLY simplifies these terms or aids in the desiggn of simple gears. ANY help would be greatly appreciated by myself and the students.
Thankyou very much in advance

Hello
This may seem like a stupid question but how do you add parts to nesting sessions in X? Probably right in front of my nose. Also are there any other high school teachers who think that x is going to be a nighmare to teach compared to version 9. Comments very welcome.
thanks in advance
Mike
Hey Sharon
I had this once but have misplaced it. it was just a bunch of layers if I remember right with drawing limnits laid out in each layer. If you wish to send it to me I can see if I can open it up. where are you teaching? I am in McCreary Manitoba.
Cheers

Hello
I teach mc at our school and I wish to create a custom toolbar configeration and transfer that to the students computers so that we are all looking at the same screen while I am teaching. Would anyone know how to do this? any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Mike
Thanks Bullines
I will try them. Also if you don't mind is there a way to select the orgin when creating an entity. Example arc-center point. In 9 I could click on the word orgin and it would be placed there. The only way I could seewas to manualy type in the cordinates or press the f9 key and click on it. Probably a simple step in front of my nose.
Thanks
Mike
Hello
does anyone else have problems with x and this card? I have tried turning the hardware accelaation down or off and it doesn't seem to help. I am haveing ghost images of the check-mark buttons appear on the screen. I am using a demo copy on my p4 2500 with GeForce FX 5700LE 256 ram.

We use a shopbot 4 x 8 router at the school where I teach and we have been extremely happy with it. for a hobbiest I think it would be ideal. We paid 13000.00 Canadian 4 yrs ago and have nothing but good luck with it. granted it won't compete with a 100,000.00 machine but it will do some impressive stuff. Check it out at shopbottools.com and let me know what you think. I'm just waiting for some replies on this one.
Mike
I am not sure of the cards but someone said it could be memory which I will check out with our tech guy. These are not the newest machines so I wouldn't doubt it. Thanks for the replies.
