  1. I was running the newest version ,but I had already reloaded an older version with the same results. But it is working now. I don't mind having to save the file first. I should be saving the file to the proper place anyways. thanks again for the help.
  2. Thanks Thad. That worked. That is odd that I didn't have to save it that way before, but that is a change to my procedure that I can live with. Thanks again for the help.
  3. I am trying to edit an X+ tool list with word and I am getting this error message. Missing file: \\X+\default_tl.css I have the newest verision from the GMCCS website and it is installed in the default location. I have been using this setup sheet for years and I LOVE IT. But I really need to be able to edit it before I send it to the floor. I have just changed jobs and I am trying to get mastercam setup the way I had it before. I have everything (almost) except for X+ running the way I want it. Has anyone else had this problem, and do you have a fix. There is a "default_tl.css" in the public\documents\x+ folder. Any help would be great. thanks in advance. Also thanks Gunther for the outstanding work that you have done.
  4. Worked fine. I like the ability to select what I want from the screen now. No need to change anything. Thanks again for giving us a setup sheet that so easy to use.
  5. Where does the X+ snap shot put the picture? It used to go to my pictures library, but now it just blips the screen and nothing.Am I doing something wrong or is this not fixed yet? Thanks again Gunther
  6. Thanks Gunther Was great, Now even better. And still free NOW I can use X6
  7. +1000 thanks. Great free tool. Thanks for the update.
  8. Have you used RAM saver? I see a big file reduction after alot of xform stuff.
  9. Your sweep is set to 0. change to 90 and it works fine
  10. I can not ramp the hole, I have to use depth cuts. I'm using a small slot mill. I am going to use incremental depths and draw my geo where I want it. I made a path for 1 hole and transform rotate for the rest. Thanks
  11. Does not seem to work. I set my top of stock as the bottom of the counterbore I set the final depth as the top of the counter bore It still cuts from the top to the bottom. I had to add finish passes to make it take depth cuts at all.
  12. Is there a way to make my depth cuts start at the bottom and work up? I am reaching thru a hole with a key cutter to make a counterbore from the other side. I need to make 5 cuts in each counter bore, 24 holes I can make surface finish contour do (almost) what I want. -I would like cutter comp. and I would like to transition at the exact center of the hole thanks
  13. Ive had good results with ceramics to rough. You need to be pretty ridgid though.
  14. Use point toolpaths. G0 (point) over part G1 (point) thru 1st bore G0 (point) over 2nd bore G1 (point) thru 2nd bore G0 (point) back out All in 1 toolpath
  15. I am doing this in Mill. I do not see any option to change transparency. I see it in lathe ,but not mill.
  16. Is it possible to change the transparency of the displayed stock. I am using the solid display option. I am using an STL as my stock and would like to adjust how "solid" the part looks. (I am only using this for pictures in my setup sheets at dif. steps in my process) I can save my STL as an mcx file and import them into my main file, but that is to combersome to use on a regular basis. I am running X5MU1 thanks
  17. I found what I was looking for. I can adjust the toolpath radius and get more clearance going back around stock. I am using a 1/2 Hanita varimill2 with a .03 CR. Inco 718 125 SFM, .0035 FPT, 15% radial, 150% depth cuts ,
  18. Is there a way to adjust the amount of lead-off in dynamic toolpaths when telling it to stay down. My problem is coming from the tool pushing off some during the cut, then when it micro-lifts and loops back around to go back into cut it is clipping material. This problem is most problem-some when cutting super alloy or the tool starts to get dull. It looks like the default clearance is about .015.
  19. What kind of machine will it be on. Is a fairly new machine, or an old machine with limited memory?
  20. I dont have G68 setup in my post. I am not sure if it is possible with G54.2 I have already programmed my part with tool planes set up for each hole, but I would really like for this to work, it would be a great toolpath if I could control it. What is the default tolerance set to? Thanks.
  21. I am ok with linear code. Can I adjust how long each line is (linearization tolerance)? I am afraid to send code out to the machine if I dont know how close it will be to size. I only have to hold +-.005, but it cant look like a many-sided thing. I am running this on a Variaxis 730.
