  1. Art, Wow I long time no hear... We had a great Thanksgiving but I've heard about Sailers in Sidney We are still working hard just installed a TM-1 right behind The VF3 (drill grinder area) and bought another computer with another seat of MC. We wish you were still in the shop too could use another programmer. Not much conventional machining going on everyone is mostly operatering for us. Hard to keep up though. Thanks for the note stay safe and thanks again for defending our Country!! Enjoy Sidney AL
  2. Randy We currently use the Haas Toolroom lathe. We have a had a lot of success with this lathe the only drawback that we have found is that the tool post is not very rigid. It tends to move when roughing hardened materials (39-45 rc) as well as knurling applications. Athough it is a tool room mill and what it is build for it does a good job. We purchased one of the first Tool room lathes and Haas has made many impovements since, I hope the tool post is one of them. Hope this helps Have a great night AL
  3. Worked like a charm!! Thanks for everything.. I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving. Thanks again Al

  7. quote: I get these cad drawings from the Navy that are drawn out in free space somewhere. Andy These parts that you get from the Navy are drawn it Plane space? Our repair manuals are all drawn the same way all the parts are drawn out in space relative to the front nose of the plane. Makes importing files a pain unless you use the WCS. I know this is probably more info than anyone ever wanted to know but I was so excited that I could finally answer a question
  8. We did recieve a post from our reseller and it didn't support the c-axis. They are working on a new one for us but, while we wait we are dead in the water with jobs stacking up. I just can't believe that we are them only ones running this lathe with mastercam. Thanks anyway Al
  9. Hi Everyone Does anyone have a Mastercam Post for a Haas SL20 with a full C axis support. The post we have does not support the C axis. I look forward to all your help.

  11. Hello all I am very new to Mastercam working in the aerospace industry as a Machinist trying to move up to programming full time. I am in my second semester at bellingham tech and have worked my way thru mastercam version 8 and version 9 book put out by scholars international pub. My problem is that every job that we have requires many setups and I have been using the wcs views to help with tool setups but I have been having to save every set up as a seperate mastercam file. This is working but it seems cumbersom to me. Can anyone direct me to resources that will help me understand the different views, tool and part set ups better. I look forward to your help.. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL
  12. Thanks for all of the help. Problems solved thanks to you. Have a Merry Christmas
