  1. Rekd, I’m not sure whether that is wishful thinking on you’re part or not, thanks for the offer but I’m afraid I’ll have to pass. As for Ron not knowing it was me, I was told that he did know.
  2. Okay, Well it seems that a lot has been said by people that have only heard Ron’s views on things. So since I was the one the one that forwarded the link to Ron’s employer I figured that it was only fair that I open myself up to all the comments by all of you well informed people on the forum, so you can stop slamming people that have different views form those 20 or so people that think that what Ron does on a weekly basis is right. Firstly, the link was sent to me by somebody who cares about that company but didn’t want to say anything and knows that I keep in touch with Ron’s employers. Also, I have known Ron’s employer’s for well over 7 years and also was employed by them for 2 of those years, so who was I stabbing in the back. A friend by not saying anything or somebody I don’t know apart from his many posts. Ron as for trying to get you fired, I think you have heard wrong. I did what I did to open up the eyes of you employer’s and hopefully open your eyes. I might be wrong but it seems that Forecast has done everything you have every asked them to. You wanted bigger and faster machines and they got you them, you wanted a 5 axis machine and they got one, the list could go on and on of the things that you have been given to do your job and all you seem to want to tell people is how bad you are treated by them and how they have all the nice things in life and that if it wasn’t for you they would have nothing. I know you must be a smart guy by the amount of people that you have helped in here and by what you have accomplished at Forecast. I just can’t believe you can say the things say in here and think that you are treated badly and nothing would ever come of it. And as for not having any nads. Well I guess I could have posted something on here for the world to see or I could have called Ron and said something to him but I figured I owe more to my friends than I do to Ron. Also Ron knows how to get a hold of me and he can call anytime he wants but hasn’t so since he is going around telling people his views about me and what I did and what he is going to do to me, I will be calling him right now so he can say what he has to say and hopefully that will be the end of it. Lastly, I think before people jump all over somebody that has a different view from those of you in here you should find out what is really going on and who they really are and stop calling them names.
  3. Well, I went to the demo last week and we looked at the MG series. The machine worked fine cutting some ¾” ply and I was quite impressed. But when it came to cutting some 15lb foam with some 3D detail it had some trouble. Firstly there seemed to be stepping when it came too moving in Z and it wasn’t very smooth. Then the Y-axis locked up and that was the end of the demo. So we are looking into a FlexiCAM machine next, there isn’t much of a budget so this is why we are looking at the lower end machines. Thanks for the input so far. Steve.
  4. Hey Trevor, How's things. Thanks for the link I will take a look at them. It is not my department that is looking into the machine. The other group that builds full scale mock ups of aircraft interiors is looking to get one. And since nobody has used any kind of CNC there, they have asked me to go along to the Demo tomorrow.
  5. Thanks for the input so far. It will mainly be used for cutting MDF and Foam Core sheets that will be used making airplane mock ups.
  6. My company is looking at getting a cnc router and we are going for a demo tomorrow to see a multicam router. Does anybody have any experience with them. Thanks, Steve.
  7. Would it be possible for somebody to set up a poll to see how many customers requested the software maintenance and could the poll only be for customers and not delears.
  8. Millman, Don't worry, all of us Modelmakers are sensitive just ask Javier but I did hear that your shoes weren't that big and I guess my math isn't that good when it comes to adding up years and months. After saying that, it does seem you know what you are taking about and I am sorry if my question upset you in anyway. Steve.
  9. David, Ureol is the trade name from Ciba Geigy. I havn't heard anybody call it that in over 14 years. It is a tooling board that is very similar to Renshape made by Vantico if not the same. I would follow the advice that was given above, but I'm sure you already have. Steve.
  10. WOW! I take a little vacation and don't check in on the forum and it seems like I've been missing a lot. And since I have been mentioned I thought I would join in. As most of you see I don't post very much, but there is an awful lot of information to be had in here from some very smart people. And I was always told if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything most of all over the internet. Crazy Millman quote: I am from the east coast and came to the west coast to fill some very big shoes of someone you know very well. I feel I am holding my own but realize I am not the Modelmaker he is. I just have two words for you "size 11". I don't think that they are that big are they Trevor. It seems that you have clicked a few laps Millman, with all those years of experience. So I have a couple of questions. Firstly, how much Mastercam experience(months or years) do you have and secondly, what is your definition of holding your own? Trevor, I hope things are working out for you and your family, I know how much stress it is moving and I know you will be missed in San Diego.
  11. I used to work in and 8 x 8 room to program but I had it to myself, what a dump that place was. Now I sit in an open office with the designers and engineers with an awesome view of Puget Sound, well when it’s not raining. I will try and post an image later on today.
  12. Hey Charles, What about me.
  13. Tazzer, I use the Last-A-Foam extensively for mock-ups and models and like it, but after saying that it is a very dusty material and you will need to hook up some kind of vacuum system, this will take care of SOME of the mess. I have tried the Butter Board but preferred Renshape instead. The material you use will depend greatly on what you are using the end product for. Steve.
  14. Trevor, Ask him did Mike Neal show him how to use is machine. Then say now I understand. Steve.
  15. MetalMarvels, Thanks for the response. The company that I am working for has already hired underwriters Lab. But there are taking a long tme to get things going and I don't think this guy has worked on shop machinery before. I have already given him all the info from the HAAS web site, but he wont accept it. I was hoping somebody might know of another option for me to get a UL sticker on my machines. Thanks, Steve.
