On V7 I kept loosing the lathe side. It was random, but IT showed it was always going to one computer in the engineering dept. That computer did not have MC installed. Never did find the problem.

I started with Easy Cam and MC 3.21
EasyCam makes Bobcam look stupid, even today. Then there was Feature Cam. We bought the first release. What a joke. Upper engineeres wanted it even though they don't use it or ever would. What sold them was the "EYE CANDY" Never could get it to work.
The big stuff was programmed with Gibbs, which ran off a unix server. Only the salary guys were allowed to use it.

One of our vendors does all our rope drums for us. I have no idea how they are doing it. 80 " long is standard. Some are longer
16" dia +.
There is talk of buying big enough lathe to do the work here, but ......
A form tool with the exact shape. then lie to the machine about the pitch. THe deeper you go the more the tool will be engaged. Not the best idea in this case.
It would be nice to break it up with a smaller tool. Run both side of the groove like a surface path. Doable if the software can do the geo of if you are good on macros.

Over 600 bug fixes in this version.
I don't use bounding box much, and not at all in this version , yet. It has its purpose. Maybe a enhancement is in order so we can pick what we need?

Imported file. Ive seen this with SW files a while back.
I reopened the file in SW and turned on everything on and re-saved the file.
When I brought it back in I had no issues.
Strange stuff.

That's a old control. Never seen that either.
A manual would help. Who does the maintaince?

What machine?
Move z down about 1 in from the top.
Move the other axis off the ends.
Shut the machine down, count to 10 slowly, restart again. It need to "home itself" . Known what button it is?

Spindle load will vary by machine. Just keep a eye on it when running. Its also a good indicator when conditions change in a run like the tools are getting dull, material has work hardened, ect.
I listen for a sound change also.

The Kit's are strong machines. The only issue we had was the operator!

That is weird. Shell was the only tne making a epoxy for space apps. IT could handle the cold and heat of space.
And yes, the ball screws will take a beating, along with the bearings. Sop keep a eye on the tolerances as you run.
MOST IMPORTANT, DONT BREATH IT IN. IT WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS LATER !. ITS GLASS. NO DIFFERENT THEN BREATHIN IN VOLCANIC ASH.
THATS THE xxxx THEY DON'T TELL YOU ABOUT!!!
