  1. I searched the text of the post for the "pheader$" post block and it was not found. I have searched the post for words that are found in the header, and they're not found either. This post is not a PST, it is a MCPOST file....not sure it that matters. I also have a MCBPOST file with the same name that appears to encrypted. Is it possible that it is pulling the header from the machine or control definition?
  2. Greetings, I have a question regarding using an existing post for one of our CNC routers on a new machine that was just installed. My main interest is changing the predefined header that is created when the NC file is generated. I have created a new machine definition, control definition and copied/renamed the old post for the new machine. The header posts out the machine type, which is no longer correct for the new CNC. Thanks in advance for the help.
  3. I was able to get it working thanks to Crazy^Millman's suggestion that I gut a existing one and add my data. :D
  4. I got it working. Thanks Crazy^Millman for the suggestion!
  5. I started from scratch. Based on your idea, I think I will try to gut one that works and insert my data.
  6. I am having some trouble getting my custom machine simulation set up in X5. I am getting the same error in the picture that JParis posted which is ""Can't load machine configuration files. Please check configuration file(s) for THERMWOOD_C67DT" I have triple checked that the XML file and folder name are exactly the same. I have deleted what I have and started from scratch only to get the same error. My reseller doesn't have a clue (not surprising) and tried MasterCAM support (for the first time). I sent my files to Support and they were not able to get the same error.....when tried on an X5 MU1 machine. (Which is not released yet). When they tried it on a straight up X5 machine, they were able to create the error. I was told to just wait until X5 MU1 is released....which would be "soon". If the problem exists in X5 and is addressed in MU1, then how do the stock machines work without error? Needless to say, I was not impressed with MasterCAM "Support". Now that I have whined and complained a bit, do you guys have any idea why I continue to get the above error? I use Robotmaster to program or robots, and the simulator is an amazing tool to find problems before we load programs on to the Fanucs. I would love to use simulation for the CNCs as well. Thanks in advance for any help!
  7. I went through the arduous process of modeling our Model 67 Thermwoods (junk, I concur) in Solidworks before creating STLs for the simulator in X5. Through some arm twisting, I did get Thermwood to send me the C axis housing and spindle models in IGES format. I figured that was sufficient since that is the only part of the machine that gets anywhere close to what I am cutting. Now if I could get my set-up to work in the X5 simulator.....
