  1. Our`s to. I have never had to change the file extension, for new or old Haas`s
  2. Hi Scott, I don`t mean to hijack your thread, but when I saw Ludington, Michigan I had to. I am just a half mile or so from where your at. If you have any questions call me over at Whitehall. I have been using Mastercam since 98. Maybe I could help. This forum is also a great place to learn.
  3. Hi Guy`s Is there a way to follow a ramp in the x & z axis, with a flat end mill and cut with the edge of the tool. In the past I have always adjusted the tool geometry until it looked good in backplot. This ramp I am trying to mill gouges in several spots. I am trying mill a ramp on a vertical leg that is 1.5 mm thick. The cut starts with a radius in x & z and blends into a ramp in x & z. I hope this makes sense. Thank you.
  4. I get the unhandled exception error when creating notes & dimensions. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.
  5. I took the basic 3 day class back in 1998. I really learned more from trial & error and this forum than anything. It is hard for me to take a week of classes unless I do it online, so I was thinking that Mastercam U. might be a good way to learn about some of the aspects of Mastercam that I do not use. I guess my main question for anyone, is there a lesson description with an estimated time to complete each lesson. This would give me an idea of how long the whole shooting match would be. My resellers quote is a 12 week subscription. Thank you.
  6. Any comments good or bad about Mastercam University? I got a quote from our reseller the other day. I am thinking about subscribing for training to possibly become certified. I have been using Mastercam since 1998 and currently have X3 Mu1 mill level 3. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanx.
  7. Hi Joel, Thanks for the input. I`ll give it a try.
  8. Hi Guy`s I have been wanting to ask this question for awhile. Has anyone had a problem printing a solid model(shaded) on 11 x 17 paper? I have had this problem since x2. I have to save the file to a mc9 file and it prints fine.In x2 & x3 it locks my computer up. The funny thing is I can print the same file shaded on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, no problem.
  9. Hi Guy`s I am kind of new to surface toolpaths, so here`s the stupid question. I am doing a surface rough, and surface finish parallel toolpath on mating surfaces of a form tool. How do I get the tool to lead in and lead out? I can get it to roll over all edges, but I need the edges to be square. I am using a 3/8 ball nose end mill. mx3, mill level 3 Thank you
  10. We just started buying some Tribos holders and extensions. We have not had them to long to make any judgment call yet, but they have some small diameter extensions to get into tight places. Anyone else have any experiance with these?
