  1. Yeah, they have the original Varimills, but a few years back they came out with Varimill II. They kick some serious butt and the tool life is amazing. I just followed the speeds and feeds right out of the book, but backed off a tad in the depth of cuts they suggest.
  2. I totally agree with you. Outputting to a selcted workplane in PM was so much easier than messing around with WCS in Mastercam. I have been using it for the last 6 months, and I still don't understand the whole views/plans/wcs thing yet. Too bloody confusing.
  3. Well I am sure I will get blasted by some here, but I like Guhrings RF line of cutters for some of the tougher stainless and titanium. Hanita Varimill II are the best of course, but availability can be a bit of an issue sometimes.
  4. Adam who? Ain't no Adams around here boyo. Just peasants.

  5. Hi All. I am trying to get a post for a Haas VR11 5 Axis to post out all rapid moves as a feedrate. Not sure how to do that actually as I don't have much Mastercam post experience. Any ideas ?
  6. lol.... guess I'll just have to wait and dream then
  7. Why, what happens in X6 ? Are they going to make the 3D roughing and finishing toolpaths more friendly?
  8. I hear your pain. I have been trying to position my stl file for rest roughing on a particular piece for awhile now. No matter what I do it always comes in in some strange orientation. I have to rotate it and translate it to get it into position. The worst part of it is if I create the toolpath and then decide to change a parameter, it completely discards the file and I have to start all over again. It has to be the most frustrating part of my day screwing around with this crap. I miss my Powermill
