  1. Thanks, Camplete usually handles stl's pretty well. The tolerance you're referring to, is that the stl export resolution in system configuration/converters? Mine is set at 0.001 from default.
  2. How do you save one as a stl or pmesh? We use Camplete for our 5-axis posting and need to import the part stl into that.
  3. Are there any resources available to get up and running on stock models? We just switched to X9 from X6 and I'm not finding a lot of specifics in help concerning stock models and how reposition them or save them as stl's or pmeshes.
  4. Yes, the stl file was saved when I was on top wcs. The issue seems to be with the wear comp settings. If I take the same toolpath that works with computer compensation and switch from computer to wear, the verify animation will not show the tool path correctly.
  5. Has anyone come up with a solution to the verify problem? I am having similar problems when running swarf 5 axis toolpaths in MCX-6 MU3. They verify correctly when I set the compensation type to computer but when I try setting it to wear, the tools either do not touch the part or cut into the part depending on if i'm cutting profiles or inside corners. I have tried adjusting the diameter for simulation and any other settings the seem to have something to do with the wear compensation but have not had any luck. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
  6. I was hoping that I could adjust a setting in filter. I don't understand why the inside arcs smoothed out but the outside arcs didn't on the same toolpath.
  7. I have recently started at new shop and am using Mastercam 9 for the first time (I am more at home with X4). We are running a part from a supplied model in which most of the arcs are splines. I'm having trouble with the 2D contour creating "steps" with alot of linear movements instead of smooth flowing arc movements. I've enabled the filter and increased the minimum arc radius from the default .005 to 3.0. This has smoothed out all the inside arcs but the outside arcs are still uneven. Does anybody have any input on where another setting is to solve this problem? I'm expected to come up with an answer Monday morning and I'm out of ideas. Thanks
