  1. Does anyone here on the forums work for Siemens industry? If I am not allowed to ask this question just let me know lol. I just want to ask some questions about the company in general.
  2. Hello everyone I was just wondering if anyone has a Post and control file for a Takumi CNC with a Mitsubishi Meldas 500 control. I need it for MX6. We just bought one used and it is about to get up and running. Thanks Ken W.
  3. if your cutting with a high speed cutter I would go 50 sfm, that's 151 rpm and .003 per tooth that is 3.6 ipm. should cut like butter after you cut the center slot out.
  4. I been round a bit, been a machinist 25 years and running CNC for 18 of those. Not sure what kind of scales you got on your machine but alot of scales when they get oil on them or dirt on them they will just take off. I had this happen to me when i was threading a 40 inch nut, with #2 acme. and it wasnt a pretty site lol. It was on a 80" VTL with Allen Bradley 8000 series controls. I am not sure what kind of scales newer machines use though.
  5. I never ran across that before, I learned something today. Thanks everyone Ken
  6. Ok thanks guys greatly apreciate it
  7. I am trying to 2D swept each ring seperatly and i get this warning WARNING THE ACROSS CONTOUR DOES NOT LIE IN A DEFINE VIEW. I would apreciate the help to get this corrected. I never saw this error before. 4-190922.zip
  8. Never mind, I saw that you created a new level and i see what you did now. Thanks for the tip Dieselpower1
  9. Dieselpower1 thanks a bunch i never used that option before. Im just trying to figure out how you selected the geometry to make it toolpath. I got another one i have to do and was trying to figure out where you selected chain point 7 at. I figured out chain point 1 and 6.
  10. I figured maybe you guys can try seeing if you can get it to come out the same, All i wanted to do was ramp down the 5 degrees to finish on both sides. the Center will already be cut out. And the OD would also be finished with a 4" t-slot cutter in 2D tool pathing.Like i said before, I am pretty proficient in Mastercam. I have no clue why it is doing what it is doing. Maybe some one with MU1 can copy and paste the 1st toolpath and see if it comes out the same. This way I know my recent update to MU2 is the Problem.
  11. Yes i tried that. I recently installed MU2 not sure if that has anything to do with it
  12. Its because I changed them already after I copied and pasted, trying to figure it out. That is why there not the same.
  13. Yes I did Copy and paste , its what i always do and i reselect my geometry. I might have changed stuff around since I copied and pasted to try and get it working correctly but it is not working . I will be using 2d to do the OD but when i put a .062 radius in my cutter it cuts past the finished OD. So i put a .001 radius in tool and just going to take smaller cuts. the OD is held within .003 thousands btw. Don't really know away around messing with the radius of a tool
  14. lol that darn attach file button got me C-34950.zip
  15. hmm i had an attachment lol let me try again
