Sorry for late reply. Yes this computer is on a Net Hasp. When I first received this error I tried the mastercam launcher and filled
out the correct parameters and as stated this did not correct the error.
I then created a desktop shortcut and and in the Target field I put
"C:\Program Files\mcamx7\Mastercam.exe" /M3 /S
Prior versions this command line switch used to work but I still received the solids option not available. Contact Reseller.
I then went to another computer that has mastercam X6 loaded on it and checked the shortcut and it had in the Target:
"C:\Program Files \mcamx6\Mastercam.exe"
I went to my desktop and entered the exact command line substituting x7 for x6 and the error never appeared.
I would like to give a shout out to Bill Cravens who used to be are re seller here in Albuquerque. Bill was the best machinist/
machine repair and mastercam programmer I ever had the pleasure to work with. Bill left Albuquerque several years ago
which in turn left our town without the expert mastercam support we all relied on.
I sure could have used his help on this one but luckily mastercam x7 is now running ok.
Thanks for all replies!
TJ
This will help anyone setting up mastercam X7 on their computer so not to get the error
"Solids option not available. Contact your reseller".
I installed mastercam v7 on a new computer. Everything went fine until I tried to move
a solid modeled part and I received the Solids option not available. Contact your reseller
error. I ran the mastercam launcher utility and that did not correct the error. I then
followed the Administrator Guide setting up the X7 shortcut on desktop as far as the
command-line switches are concerned. That also did not fix error.
To not see this error make sure your desktop shortcut in the line field Target states
"C:\Program Files\mcamx7\Mastercam.exe"
Howdy folks.
I keep geting this warning. "The operation has 0 toolpath entities remaining". Lathe face.
What is the best way to troubleshoot warnings like this?
Thanks.
