  1. I dunno if you solved this problem, but I had the same quite a while with XP home and V8, 9, 9.1 I solved it tho, by using the CNCReg.exe and changed to Windows Standard dialogs. Something is wrong with the Mastercam dialogs under certain circumstances, but I havn't figured what it is yet...
  2. It doesn't either. The only post I found so far that changes it is the default Fanuc post in Qire 9. I'm guessing what you are gonna do and I have the same problem. Is there a doc of the postprocessor codes available for the wire?
  3. 1. Create a folder direct under the MC9 folder from the Save dialog. 2. rename it to something with many characters (20-30) 3. Open that folder. 4. Repeat 1,2,3 a few times. This crashes Mastercam V9 in Windows 2000 Swedish version. Since this happens from the save dialog this is serious. I've tried it on several computers with Win2000 with the same result. The same procedure in Mcam8 results in not being able to rename the folder after a repeating step 1,2,3 a few times. Note: This happens after about 70 chars in the complete filename. 4. The same problem exists in Mastercam V9 when running on Win2000. Mastercam totally crashes.
  5. I'm using the pocket operation to clear out a pocket with on island. After that I use the pocket remachining to clear out the rest of the pocket and the result is this: When I turn the "Keep tool down" off, everything is ok. I could understand if it cuts through the island when using the "keep tool down", but why does it cut through then borders of the pocket???

    Pocket

No problem. That's what the forum is here for isn't it? And yes... Sweden rules!

    Pocket

I found the solution myself. Uncheck the checkbox in the dialogbox under Pocketing parameters - Advanced - Display stock for constant overlap spiral. It reduces the regen time from 12 minutes to 30 seconds. Maybe something for the Tech Tips forum??

    Pocket

I've got a question about the pocket operation i Mastercam. I've got a drawing with 32 islands (shaped as L and I). When I do a pocket using the Constant Overlap Spiral, it takes about 12 minutes to regenerate the pocket, but when I use the Parallell or spiral it takes about 10 seconds. Why does it take so long time???
  9. I'm trying to import a AutoCad 2000 DWG file, but some parts of the geometri is missing. I get this in the "log": Not converted: AcDbProxyEntity Primary entities: 56 Blocks: 0 We do not have access to Proxy entities. Not converted: Unknown entities Primary entities: 19 Blocks: 0 What's this and is there a way around (except another dwg version/fileformat) ?
  10. Thank you! That solved it.
  11. Mastercam v8 How can I write a drawing into DXF ASCII file format (not the binary type) in Mastercam? In earlier versions, this is no problem, but in version 8, all output is in the binary format. ------------------
  12. To edit/delete Default operations, click NC Utils - Def. ops - Defaults Rgs, Mathias
  13. If you use Truetype-fonts you can download them almost anywhere... or did you mean drafting fonts? You can use true-type there too. Rgs, Mathias
