Thanks Rob,
here is the part. I have never used mastercam to program 4th axis before.
I know I am using a low end, out dated version of mastercam. X SP1 mill level 1. But will it work?

I recieved the file data today. I tried to use the rolldie c-hook with no success. I tried to up load the file to the ftp site but it wouldn't let me log in anonymously. If I had a username set up I forgot it. any help would be appreciated
It is a unique curve. I am not sure of the arc types yet. it is to hold a wire typ heating element or thermal couple on a shaft. it is also undercut using a special o-ring type cutter so the wire will snap in.
Thanks
Does any one know if Mastercam X sp1 mill level 1 can run a rotary head? I was sure the sales man told us the 2d package would run one. When I click on the 4th axis icon in the drop down menu it say I need a differant version.
I have a mazak vmc that I am trying to program for the first time off line. I saved my program on a floppy and trying to load it into the machine. The machine can not see the program. It is posted as an eia file. How do I have to load the program? I spent over an hour on hold for mazak yesterday and never got thru.
Thanks
