  1. When importing a Inventor dwg (not a AutoCAD dwg) I only get the title block and the dimensions. The part geometry is not imported. When importing a Inventor idw all the hidden arcs come in as faceted circles. not a true circle just a bunch of short straight lines. I don't want to save as a AutoCAD dwg because it breaks the link with the Inventor ipt solid model. We use Autodesk Vault and it is a pain to save into AutoCAD then into Vault. If a solid model is changed the Inventor idw or dwg will also change. If we have to save as an AutoCAD dwg then the link is broken. If anyone has a fix for this I will tell everyone you are the smartest person on earth and owe you a Beer. MCX7 with solids Thanks Dan
  2. I thought MU stood for Maintenance Update. I guess it stands for Make Unusable. Why don't you Beta your updates. I just love all the time and material I waste with all the work arounds. Yes I did get bit by the Smoothing settings in surface toolpaths bug. It was a very expensive crash. Now I have to uninstall X7 MU1 from all our seats and reload X7 SP2. I will load MU1 when MU2 is released. I don't know when it is time to call it quits with Mastercam but that day is not that far away. Just so you know it was a program that I have ran in the past and yes it did run fine. I made feed and speed changes on a few tools then regenerated the program in X7 MU1 with no changes to the surface toolpath and then a 1/2 ball mill did a bad thing. Now I have a nice door stop and a mad boss asking me why a program that we have ran in the past is now not working. I think an e-mail about the bug would have been nice. It's not even 8:00 am and I am ready to go to the bar.
  3. Can I pull the operation note from the same place the Operations Manager is getting it from? For example the Operations Manager has Surface High Speed (Area clearance) but when I post it says MULTISURFACE FINISH. I would like the post to use the same description as the Operations Manager if that is possible. MCX6 MU2 LEVEL 3 MPM POST Thanks for the help Kaiser
  4. Roger, Thanks for the link. This is going to make life much easier. Kaiser
  5. I am new and am looking forward to learning more about post processors. I have two HAAS mills. One has thru-tool collant and a 10000rpm spindle. The other has a 15000rpm spindle with no thur-tool collant. I am using the same post for the two machines. I would like to have a different post for each machine due to the differencs in spindle and collant options. Is there a way I can copy and rename the CONTROL-6, MastercamX6 MMD, and the PST files so I can have two different posts and tweek some of the settings to make them machine specific?
