  1. Good morning, i have a project at work they want me to run on a 4 axis ( VF 4SS ). its shaped almost like half a cylinder and im using the 5 axis flow option to machine it. i have set the output format to 4 axis and when it generates the post it starts off with A20.557 , which is exactly where i want it but when its ending the machining i noticed that the A reached up to A-1539.702 , which is absolutely wrong. my question is how do i get to make the post to have the limit of A-100. to A100, without the A axis rotating over its limit. Thank you for the help.
  2. thank you. appreciate the help
  3. alright sounds good i will try to create that toolpath. by the way, is there an actual way to create depth cuts on finish without having to copy the previous operation?
  4. Good morning, im working on a part that has unique angles, making it tough to get a bull mill to cut in a single pass. I'm trying to figure out how can i make depth cuts using the surface finish flowline. Appreciate your help and happy holidays.

  9. thank you for taking some of your personal time to help me. here is the part i am programming. i have it one of the 4 faces of the tombstone but when i run all four faces i make a 4 post one for each of the G54-G57 homes. at the end i edit the programs and try to compact them into one program but the problem is that its a really long program. is there any advice you can give me in order to make the subprogram in order to make a smaller program but efficient as well. thanks a lot.
  10. good afternoon everyone, I'm programming a HAAS VF 4SS but I'm fairly new at doing 4 axis. i have a fellow co-worker that also programs 4 axis but he tends to use subprograms, i tried asking for advice on how it is done but doesn't seem like he wants to cooperate. I'm wondering how could i make subprograms or where would i be able to learn more about it?
