I have an "open sheet body" solid model that I'm using to subtract data from. Is there a way to change this "open sheet body" to a "closed solid body"?

Thank you

I have a file with about 30 different parts all on different levels. I need to export one particular part. I do not want to send any of the other parts. How can I do this?

Thanks for the quick reply. Went into system config to check my chaining sync mode and it was set to none, changed it to by entity and that fixed it. Thanks again.

I dont use blend very often. I usually use flowline but due to surface normal directional issues I'm using it today. So I have a drafted rib that has a radius all around the top and a fillet at the floor. I Chained the boundaries, started the chains in the same place, and the resulting toolpath looks like its twisted or overlapping at the ends. How do I get it to appear more like what I'm used to with flowline?

Thanks

Can I change the default of this?

Just finished updating to MR2 SP1 and it works now, thanks.

Robert thats what I'm talking about, But it is not coming in on the location I enter.

MC help says the merge pattern ribbon bar allows you to position the imported file geometry. Select lets you create a point that positions the center or the pattern file.
-
Why does it ask you to select a new location? Shouldn't this allow me to place it someplace other than the origin?
-
When using file merge, I cannot get it to place my part on the position I select. File->File merge/pattern, then I select the file and a little hint box pops up and says "select new location, edit options to Scale, Rotate, or Mirror, use current attributes/ CPlane, or Apply to accept" so I click the select button and select a point and it brings in the new part but not on the location that I just specified. Where have I gone wrong?

I'd like to be able to use tool containment boundaries when using the flowline toolpath.

Yes Thad,I meant dynamically. I had completely overlooked the tab J Paris told me about.
-
Pink to the rescue! I hate to say anything because I know its probably something I already missed.

In toolpath countour after you have selected the chain it would be nice to have an option to reassign the start point. I know you can go back the geometry tab right click on the chain and select "start point" but, I don't want to go back, I want to go forward.

I want flowline to ignore the UV directions.

seems like a waste though.

Does anyone know of anybody that does this? We recut many of them but after many years of making electrodes we have a lot of it hanging around. I found a place in Chicago a few years back but I think he dealt in bulk bacause he laughed when I said I probably had a few hundred pounds.

Thanks. Always saw it ... never used it.

We just upgraded to MR2 SP1. I draw a rectangle at Z0, change the Z depth to -1.5, create rectangle and click the first corner and it changes the Z depth back to Z0. Is there a setting that we missed or am I not using the new interface correctly, or do we just need to reload MR2 SP1?

Is there a way to have the last file I was working on open when I start up MC?
