I have the exact same problem. I'm running Mastercam 2019 with SW2018 Premium. Any time I import a .sldprt file it will crash as soon as I select a machine. Then run fine after restart. Jeff, no, .sldprt files are no better or worse, it just keeps from having to save your solidworks part off as a .stp or other format.
