i think it is because e the curve you have picked is actually under your surface
it "works" for the contour but when you use a surface toolpath it stops when it cannot go past teh green surface
hope that makes sense
do mean there is an undercut that I haven't seen ?

thanks guys I have never used project this is what I got what did I do wrong

hi guys I,m trying to drive my cutter to the bottom of the green surface but it doesn't seem to want to go I need as square a corner as I can get.I realize I wont be able to get right to bottom due to the twist in this fixture but I do need to get it close.Any ideas? Thanks

That's a ~19mb .dll file located exactly where the message says. It is necessary to run verify/machine sim. Check your recycle bin and search for MachSim.dll and see if you can find it- it was deleted or moved somehow.
so I have been fighting this issue all day with no luck ,decided to try a computer reboot and what do you know it now works

Morph between 2 curves if you have the Multiaxis ability. Tell it in axis control 3 Axis. I used the Extend/Trim on the Cut pattern Page. I then extended the start and exit .02 to have it come off and on the edges .02. I also used Orthogonal entry and exit on the linking and changed it on the default lead-in/out. Here is the link for the file from dropbox.
Thanks ron but we dont have multi axis,Just wondering you taught me about the direction feature how come i cant get the exit part

Fixture all the way 2 operations and done. Vice will influence the material you want it as free as possible for machining.
I totally agree with fixturing if more than 1 part

can you start with bigger piece ,clamp on outside, machine everything but outside ,move clamps to inside then machine outside profile

We switched to Mobil SCH 625 as requested by Haas about 2 years ago. Both the lathe and mill. We had a spindle go bad after 5 yrs.
It was about $5000 exchange plus about 5 hrs change out. Hass flushed the system and did the change.
that's exactly what we are doing now
-
we have had 2 spindle bearings fail on hass machines in the last 3 weeks.Hass tech said it was something in the oil so we phoned oemeta and they said we got a bad batch of oil.At 10,000 $ apiece we are trying now to get the money out of their insurance.Just a warning if anyone else is using oemeta oil you might want to look into it
-
thanks jp got it

how do I access the plane manager in 2018 I cant seem to find it.Thanks

Buying a new one outright, is over double the price of exchange service through Haas. i need to have a rebuild on mine soon :-(
AFAIK, it's the original 2002 unit. Been good for 6 years of my light duty/ prototype work.
sorry I should have said exchange through hass

thanks guys I passed the cartridge thing on to our guys and they,re getting a new one
-
not sure we,ve never done this before company doesn't want to spend money on hass techs so our guys are giving it a shot
