Is there any way to get a projection length field?
The Length field (7.0) in this example is useless IMO, I want to know the length the drill sticks out of the turret not the OAL.
My work-around has been to re-name the tool (9/16" DRILL - TOOL OUT 3.9") as seen in the example below.
Hi guys,
I just made the switch today from X6 to X8. I noticed that when I click Select Library Tool that when the Tool Selection page pops up it defaults to showing Both the assemblies and tools.
Is there a way to make the Display Mode default to Tools only and it stays that way?
Thanks in advance.
I loaded up X7 MU1 today.
I am very pleased that some of my issues were addressed.
Now that the tolerances can be saved i changed them to what I had in X6 and did a little Pepsi-challenge with the same part in x6 and x7.
I dont know if this is a tolerance issue that I set, but I have played around with the different values and it doesnt seem to help.
The x7 verified image shows +/- stock in different areas where the x6 showed that it was perfect everywhere.
Also, this verifier is painfully slow. I ran x6 against x7 and x7 was easily three to four times slower than x6.
Thats not the reason why i am sticking with x6 until MU1 comes out. The verifier compare tolerances being so far out, corner rounding on waterline not working properly, I absoloutely cannot stand the tool pages, and setup sheets taking over 1 minute to calculate are the main things that irritate the heck out of me.
I thought that the extra 0.0002" on bounding boxes was a skewed setting that i had.
I changed my stitching tolerance to 0.001 and there was no change.
# of digits behind decimal is 4, measurement system is US, digital grouping is 123,456,789
I have a laundry list of complaints about x7, this is just one of the more annoying things. I have been talking with my mcam dealer with my major complaints, this is one i thought might have been my fault.
Is anyone else having an issue with the bounding box adding 0.0001" per side around their part?
Is there any fix to this, or do i have an incorrect setting somewhere?
