Charles, they have completely reworked the fire group of the AR-15 to remove the burst and full auto capabilities. In my opinion, they are 10x more reliable and way more of a crisp break just because of fewer moving parts.
The new Army rifle is the "XM8 Lightweight Assualt Rifle".
It looka quite impressive actually. http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/sys...und/m8-oicw.htm
Keith, maybe about 2 years mostly manual operations. A few months ago, I started taking a cnc programming class and really liked it. I have done about 10 projects or so for my senior project at college.
I found this while surfing another board.

I am seriously considering undertaking this project in the near future. I've been operating a fadal 3 axis for a short time now but I am new to programming with mastercam. Maybe some of the more experienced minds on this board could give some input as to which toolpaths he used?
Keving67
Yep, worked graveyard last night and just started a double 5 minutes ago. Luckily, all I have to do is check a shaker table once an hour and the rest of the time is all mine
I've uploaded my file to the mc9 files folder on the ftp under the name keving67.mc9. If anyone gets a second to look it over and make sure I did everything right, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you, Kevin
Sorry, I was a little excited. I deleted the tool boundary which was keeping the tool from getting the outside portion of the wheel. After that, everything worked perfect
Kevin
Now that you mention it, I selected the outside edge of the steering wheel as my containment boundary. I will fix that option when I get home from class today and let you know. I'f it is still screwing up, I will post it up the the ftp.
You guys are great.
Kevin
My university finally got a 3 axis Fadal and I am anxious to get started on my first cnc project (a steering wheel) for my dune buggy. The problem I am having is that when I use the surface finish radial option, the top and outside of the handle are squared off because the tool is missing them completely.
Is there an option I am missing somewhere?
Thanks in advance
