It came back!! So I right clicked and also ran MC as adminastrator and now it works fine. Also, windows recognizes there is a compatiablity problem, let's hope for a solution. Thanks again

Hello All, I want to thank Dustin Spieth @ Mastercam . Com He is the man he responded to my Issue promptly and nailed it!!! The issue was WINDOWS 8.1!!!! we should have known, The solution was "Compatibility Mode" If you dont know how to get there; right clicked>Properties>Compatibility>Compatibility Mode> Check box run for..... drop window to windows 7. I opened saved and Bamb No issues no errors! Thanks DUSTIN SPIETH I spent hours trying to resolve this...

Just so were on the same page what exactly do you mean by temp folder are we talking C:/programs/mymcX6(or what ever it is) Then temp? Also, I have uninstalled, re-installed, defragmented, cleared cookies, deleted any and all files with mcx6 involvement. Nothing. Another thing that bugs me is I go to my dads work, where we have another seat and the same files open fine save fine. Should I reformat my machine?

Hello, when I open my x6 and create say a rectangle and then extrude then click Save I receive. "Error in SAVMOD. KI Error Code:530 Key already used in archive" I click ok. another window pops up and says "Error Accessing .x_t file" I delete the solid I created and I can save with out an error. I recreate the solid, and I receive the same error. I checked there are no dirty Opps and I have solid capability. In search of a solution I ran a registry cleaning (CCleaner) in search for missing .dll . I also deleted all temp files. then rebooted. I can now create solids without the SAVMOD Error 530 and the other message Error Accessing .x_t file. However, when I reopen those files it will give me the error but then I resave and no longer do I have the error? Until i create another Solid then save, Then i receive the error for any new as well as prior files. Thanks in advance any info would help. I believe the key to this is understanding this is understanding the actual error messages. "Error in SAVMOD. Kernel Interface Error Code:530 Key already used in archive" Also when opening I receive a different code "Parasolid® Kernel Interface Error KI Error Code: 58- Key not found" Thanks again

Hello everyone, I just want to take a moment to thank all who helped your amazing, without you all this wouldn't be possible, mostly me. Ok so if this happens to you Run a registry cleaning and search for missing .dll . I also deleted all temp files. then rebooted. I can now create solids without the SAVMOD Error 530 and the other message Error Accessing .x_t file. However, when I reopen those files it will give me the error but then I resave and no longer do I have the error, what is going on I am still uncertain however, I am leaning toward a/an registry error/corruption. If anyone as any input I would love to hear it I was ready to reformat my entire Machine seeing as its only purpose is mastercam. Thanks to all PS I used CCleaner Pro

Update: I checked my seat and yes, I do have Parasolid capability. It is also x6 verson.. Anyone? any idea? I uninstalled and reinstalled I took of the old x4 I had and even the x7 demo verson. reinstalled still same error. I can still save my work but recieve the message. anyone?

As bad dawg said. But here is more detail. After assigining toolpaths click back plot then in that window that pops up click the 2 or 3 arrow blue arrow down then click on the Info tab. Sorry i cant explane better its 1am here in Cali and Im fighting MC with some damn Savmode error.

Please Help, Some how I messed up my config. when I click top view,right view, or ortho view. the graphview is light blue and my plans do not match I then go back to WCS and Set top to Equal and its a never ending battle! Whats happing? My head is still trying to wrap my mind around why it is happing and iv been thinking and working like this for a few hours. Its hard to explain let me know if I need to be more clear. I tried to reload the Mcamx6.config or whatever it was didnt help. HELP!!!

Be careful when mapping I know that I used numbers on my 10-key keypad (right of my keyboard) then later when using MC I would be in the middle of creating something and I was go to make it 1.23inches and 1 I had set to a line so MC would ask for a start point and I didn't know what was going on. I like using alt>C>L>E to make an end point line ect.

Agree to the above post!! Do it, do it, and do more of it. I have watched every YouTube video training and crashes I have followed free tutorials (some better than others) and mistakes became my friend in the seance I would forget to Check a box and now I know what happens when you mess that up.

All great post! And as stated above alt, brings an on screen selector (dark area) in the menu bar. Then for example c brings the creat menu down then say L would give you line. This is great, and just want I was hoping for its much different than I am used to but deff better then selecting drop menus all day!!! Thanks for all your advise. Ps I'm about to buy x6 bundle, intro and advanced muilt axis training videos what are your thoughts? DVD only? Are work books just want the cd says but in writing? Anyone?

I bought a tutorial video with 5 tutorials mostly 2d drawings that set up the stop and then it becomes 3d. I was wondering if there was any sights, forums, or YouTube channels that have great tutorials on a bit more advanced topics. Lastly, I have multi axis capability but no idea how to use it. I went to machine mill 5th axis rotary table but nothing really changed any tips? Thanks,

Hello, I have been a long time user of AUTOCAD, and proud to say that I have been looking for MASTERCAM my whole life!! With out giving my life story, I started with autocad, than 3ds max, then inventer, to maya, and then I found Mastercam! I Love it this is what I have been searching for I have awsome designs, inventions, ect in my head and cant draw for the life of me since i was 16 im been trying to get these ideas out and here I am! Digressing; Topic Key Mapping Now Autocad is a bit diffrent in the sence that I was so good, I rarely had to draw mostly I type my dementions in the below command line. My drawing would be created above; example L+Enter = Line, Cir+Enter = Circle Getting faster and more complex L+Enter,8.5,-9.4, L+Enter9.4,5.8 ect. When I went to mastercam I have found the Key mapping under setting However, one Huge draw back is you can not use Shift+, this is a huge limitation to "Hot keys". Also you can only use one letter, and my Mouse is functionless. I can not right click + a letter or even use right click in general. Any one else out there that likes to use Key mapping as much as I do? I tell you I save hours over others by avoiding drop down menus and clicking Icons. Lastly Im wondering if anyone has found the green check mark used as "OK" to add a hot key too? gets annoing using a hot key to then turn around and have to click a icon almost makes the hot keys pointless. Thanks,
