  1. I've been there today with no problem.
  2. Call your reseller to be sure you have an updated code.
  3. It worked, I didn't run anything but I posted a part that I've run before and checked it and it only had G28 Y0. Thanks again,
  4. Thanks rekd, I did that, now next time I post, I post with the backed up file and if that works just stick with that. Can I ask, where is a good place to get more info. on post mods. Besides asking here and bugging everyone, are there books or anything that I would be able to learn by myself, I think it'd be cool to learn to do some of this stuff. Thanks again rekd
  5. Can somebody please help me? I am using the mpmaster post with HAAS mini mills, everything works great for the type of machining I do, however there is one thing I would like to change, and I have no clue how to edit posts. At the end of the post, it puts in G28 X0. Y0. which I know sends it to machine zero. What I want to do is get rid of the X0. Right now I go in and delete it manually but I would like for it never to be there in the first place. I have 2 vises on the table and it sends the left vise way over under the tool changer. Thank you for your help.
  6. I use solid carbide with decent wear in a lot of glass filled material. We machine a lot of Ultem 2300 with solid carbide with different coatings TiN and TiCN and such with good luck. Try a few different cutters and see what gives you the best wear.
  7. Thats what I did, I grabbed an M4 0.7 tap from the big metric library, went to define tools and just added an mm behind all numbers to have mc convert it for me. I just ran a trial part in aluminum and it worked fine, I'll see what happens later this week when I try it in stainless. I tried without converting and got some really strange backplotting issues that resolved themselves once everything converted to inch.
  8. thank you, I'm hopefully going to try one this afternoon.
  9. Is the use metric values box your talking about on define tool parameters page?
  10. I do all my programming in inch. On the latest part I need to make, all dimensions are inch, however there is one metric tapped hole. It's an M4-0.7. It's a thru hole in 3/32" 303 stainless. How can I figure out RPM and Feedrate in inch or should I just program in metric. All I need to do to the part is drill several holes, so programming in metric shouldn't be too difficult. Any suggestions?? Thank you.
  11. I installed MR0105 yesterday and read in several dxf's with no problems.
  12. Promoting from within also let's you know ahead of time what kind of worker you have, instead of getting someone who claims they can do it all but not be able to anything
  13. Hi there. Could somebody please help me? I'm not sure if this is a MC question or more post related. Can I set my work coord system in MC or do I do it in the post itself? Right now I go down through all my tools in the post editor and manually change it from the default G 54 to whatever I am going to use for the part I'm making. I was hoping I could just set it in mc like I set the tool height offsets. I'm using the mpmaster post with HAAS machines, if this means anything. I apologize if this is post related, but i'm just not sure. thank you
