  1. Hello world! I'm in a bit of a quandary with some code that my post processor has output from the NCI. Basically it's regarding the 'Plane Spatial' function on the Heidenhain 530i control. I understand the concept of the function, but what I am not getting is the following Datum Shift command that is wrapped around it: 2584 L X-11.542 Y+8.736 R0 2585 L Z+125. FMAX 2586 CALL LBL 999 2587 PLANE RESET TURN FMAX 2588 L B+90. C-90. Any ideas? Thanks!
  2. Thanks for all the replies.. Very helpful. I used Surface - finish - flowline. Worked a treat.. :-)
  3. Hi, I'm trying generate the corner rad of an under cut (Rad = 1.27mm) using a t slot cutter with a 0.5mm rad on the top edge. Can anyone please tell me the best way to go about this? Sorry I'm a newbie to Mastercam! Thanks....
  4. I've worked on an Okuma MacTurn 550W (9 axis!) they are built like tanks, and the OSP control is very good.
  5. Result! In the end I used 'Flow' for the roughing of the pocket, and 'Swarf' for the milling of the adjacent walls.
  6. Thankyou all for the replies. I am thinking along the lines of a multi-axis strategy to approach this.
  7. Thanks for the reply.. It is a Mazak Integrex I-200. Full 5 axis..
  8. Good morning, This is my first post, so a big hi to everybody out there! I'm new to Mastercam X7 (I have a Catia V5 and Solidworks background), so I am struggling a little bit with some topics. I need to find the best strategy to rough and finish the wrapped pocket shown in the attached image: Any ideas please? Thanks in advance!
