  1. Hi, Using the 20014 parameter and setting the coment in the wcs works. Thank You Would like to pick it out automaticaly based on rotation of wcs at some point though.
  2. Hi, I am looking into using the WCS comment parameter 20015 string and maybe using this as the U value. As i set each WCS if i put U90 as the comment this may work. Thanks
  3. Hi, I am using a 6 Axis vertical machine . XYZ normal, AC are in the head, and U is a trunion table along the X axis. I program full 5-axis using the head and this works. Then i want to index U say 90deg and program some more. Using WCS and rotating about X i can program all day but i dont know where to pick up the U rotation form and post this out. Post remaps TOP to the new WCS and posts all the right AC rotations code but no "U" rotation Is there a varaiable for WCS rotations from TOP WCS Thank you for any help.
  4. Hi, What is the best 5-axis post to start out with. I have started with the cd ones and run into problems with the binstart areas. It would appear i need to make changes in these areas to get the code to look like our existing code. psof_tlchg_blck is one i seem unable to locate. Is there a generic post un encrypted as a start point. Thank You Rob Turner Beaufort Engineering UK (same question posted to our reseller)

  6. Hi all Having problems with the mpgen5x post. Used the update post from X2 and the post is unuseable. Have MC released a version of this for X2 ? If so i cant find one. Thank you
  7. Except in translate where 2d keeps the original geometry Z height
  8. Hi, I seem to have a problem getting to grips with the 2D 3D button. I thought that if it was set as 2D then any geometry I draw is at the Z setting even if I click previous geometry. I have just noticed that if it is set to 2D and offset geometry it moves it to the current Z height. To me this is moving it in 3D. I thought 2D would mean all I draw is in 2D, anyone else think this is wrong?
  9. I am also having this problem. I have tried both 4-axis rotary and 5 axis flowline using 4-axis output.
  10. Jay, I missed the dead line and ended up with a very fast re-program of all the code and re-prove out. But i have made notes of the replys and looking into this because it may be of use when we have a new m/c delivered and i need to do loads of conversions Thanks Robert
  11. Mikee, I have a post that is capable of posting R. The problem i have is getting the NC 'G' code data into NCI data so i can post it back out.The original MC8 file i used to create the G code is now out of date. I.E. No NCI file to post.need to create one from the G code Thanks
  12. Help!! Hi all, I am in need of converting a program that is in I and J format to R's . The code is in G code and the mastercam nci is out of date to the actual code. i have managed to convert it to APT and now want to re-post it as either nci and then post on our fanuc post or somthing that will convert ij to r as nc code. I am on a VERY tight time scale and strugling so any help would be very welcome. Thanks Robert [email protected]
