  1. I can only get up to 1366 x 768. Maybe I need to get a different monitor.
  2. the drop down menu "machine group properties" does not fit one the computer screen. This causes the bottom of the menu go be below the bottom of the screen and I can't click on the ok. Anyone had this problem. How do you make it fit on the screen. Thanks, Chuck
  3. Lorenc, I had to put my CNC mill on the back burner for a year + and no I never got my mill up and running from my PC. Did you get yours running? Regards, Chuck
  4. John, my yasnac 3000g is on a mill not a lathe. Were you able to remember the process you used on your friends machine? Regards, Chuck
  5. According to the techs at Yaskawa they can't help me with third party hardware/software (windnc and greco MTIC) when communication with their contorller and suggested i connect directly to the yasnac 3000g controller via the 25 pin connector directly above the spot where the tape reader was installed and bypass the Greco Mtic. I will be trying this soon and will let the forum know what how this works. If anyone has been running their Yasnac 3000g with out a Mtic, i would appreciate any info relative to getting files transfered to the yasnac.
  6. Jeff, I spoke with the Yaskawa techs and they were very helpful. Thanks for the suggestion. To keep the posting thread up to date, Yaskawa said to simply delete the second line of the post processed file that contains the file name using the letter O followed with 4 numbers since the 3000g does not have the letter 0 on the key board and does not need the name. Yaskawa helped me configure the 3000g but now i'm getting an "error 73, machine disk full" message when sending the file from windnc to the greco Mtic and I'm trying to resolve this. Since I'm sending the file to the Greco MTIC, it is the machine and I need to determine how to clear the disk. I'm working with the techs at Greco, but awaiting a solution. If anyone has a solution to the error 73 within windnc please post your suggestions. Thanks, Chuck
  7. Thanks Jeff that's a great idea. I will call them Tuesday morning. Have a great holiday weekend. Regards, Chuck
  8. Jeff, I have been talking with Brian and Michelle a couple techs at GRECO about my problem. They seem to be quite knowledgeable with their products, WINDNC and their MTIC specifically. Problem is they nor anyone at GRECO seems to know how to configure the Yasnac 3000G to accept the file being transferred. This controller is mid 80ies vintage and the techs don't get many questions on it. I don't know if there are many in use these days. Do you happen to have any contacts or know of anyone still using a Yasnac 3000G that i could talk to about this? Or any ideas on how i could find someone? Best regards and thanks for your help, Chuck
  9. Jeff, I apologize for the late reply on this. I downloaded the two operators manuals from this site but still can't get the get my yasnac 3000G to see the program i sent via WinDNC. I think the older 3000G must be different than the newer Yasnac controllers you are use to when reading programs. The 3000G was initially set up to read a punched tape. My machine has a Greco MTIC and not the tape reader. Any suggestions on where i can get some info in getting my yasnac to see the sent file? Thanks, Chuck
  10. Jeff, My Yasnac 300G does not have a letter O on the keypad. It has only 17 letters and O is not one. Anyone have any experience with the 3000G keypad? REgards, Chuck
  11. Jeff, Thanks for the info. This sounds encouraging. I will try this and see if i can finally get my machine to make some chips. Regards, Chuck
  12. Thanks for the reply. Are you saying that "01234 input?" should be the very first line in the file? Currently i have "%" . Regards, Chuck
  13. Using MastercamX9 and WinDNC. Trying to post to Yasnac 3000G. WinDNC is telling me the file transfered to the GRECO Machine Tool Interface Controller (MTIC) but the g-code does not show up in the Yasnac 3000G. Any one know what setting i need to have on the Yasnac 3000G while loading, I tried "tape in". Any suggestions on how to get Yasnac to see the file? Thanks, Chuck
  14. Ron, I'm very interested in the "FREE Verisurf add-on for Mastercam", but the above link appears to have changed. Could you re-post the "Verisurf add-on" Thanks so much, Regards, Chuck
  15. yep, never have got it going. Regards, Chuck
