If you can post your file, I'll take a look at it and send it back to you, i only have X8 and X9 wire though. I program a SL600Q mostly self taught but I gotta pretty good handle on it now.

Please write back on how it works out, this is something I'd like to have in our millac, the table is massive and i only use it when someone smashes a die set. it'd be nice to have that set up on one end.

I wish I had maintenance of my verisurf. I have a feeling I could use that quite frequently.

I agree its less convenient, but there happens to be a handy little search bar at the top of this page.

Please don't forget to also have a Metric data base.
I agree, or at least have a conversion.

I had this error once before and oddly enough this morning.
This mornings occurrence was my own fault. I had a containment boundary around the wrong set of surfaces. (brain fart).
The original occurrence though was custom geometry. I had drawn out my Sandvik 210 high feed cutter, Sandvik recommends to program like a bullnose cutter(In my case its 2.5mm rad). But the depth of cut on this is only 1.2mm. My cutting length was shorter then the radius and it always gave me that error.
Soon as I bumped the cutting length over 2.5 it worked. The only downside to this is it won't show up as a collision if its programmed past 1.2 DOC.
Hope you can get it figured out!

AutoCursor settings and having the lines you create snap to more than just every 90deg is a godsend for me.
I have mine setup to snap to every 22.5 deg, and it makes my life a lot easier.
And don't forget to check Tangent!
Nice !!, +1 for that. I won't use it often but when I do!!

Thanks again Colin, its funny you mention if it breaks give it to a little kid with a screw driver. That was definitely me when I was a little guy.
I used to take everything apart. Which is why I got into trades.- 2

I would like to print off my full tool list I have set up in the tool manager so I can set up the exact same list in my Okuma mill. I've tried printing but it only prints the selected tool. If any one could help that would be appreciated.

Could you go through the steps you took to get yours out. I do run high pressure coolant through spindle and i'd like to get mine out for replacement. I've tried to get mine out with the supplied tool but when I'm unscrewing it it gets tight. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I had the cutter defined that way so I could see if it'd hit the shank in verify, but oh well. Glad that helped you out!

mine outputs alot of point to point code but the tolerance on hi-cut on the machine is fairly loose so it doesn't slow down very much.

i've always used scotch brite to clean up tapers. most of the ones i've worked with have been 15 years old. the newer stuff i generally use varsol and a rag.

have you noticed a difference in your toolpath and nc code generation times? the bandwidth graphics cards can handle is much higher than your motherboard can handle and some programs will use it for calculation and not just for graphics.

This is what I use when putting part clearance on sheet surfaces. Or like Pullo said,
Maybe gear back on the caps lock too.
