  1. I have installed X+ and really like. The problem I am having is that the cut diameter column is rounding the size or diameter to only 2 dicimals places. Is there a setting to let it go to 4 decimal places? Thanks, Smily

    X+ in X4

Thanks Guys I really love getting a picture and a tool list on one sheet for the guys on the floor. Does the X4 new setup do this?
  3. Does X+ work in X4?

Yep what Goldorak said. It's in the control panel- regional-customize-decimal 4 places. Thanks guys.

    X+ help

I am trying out the X+ and it looks pretty good except when it displays a tool. The sheet rounds the tool to a two place decimal. i.e. .375 ball mill reads .38. A .314 reamer will read .31. This is not acceptable to the setup guys out there. Is there something to configure the sheet so it reads a four place decimal?
  6. Is there a link for X+? I found one and it was in a different language.
  7. LCD has more resolution and is the faster one. "repaint tool path" and "Draw tool" are not checked" they are both checked and it is still faster. We are still scracthing on this one.
  8. High Sierra Plastics, The tests we were running are just some typical toolpaths: Scalloped and left overs. Left overs are generally pretty lengthy depending on the size of the part. We would call up the program from the backup server and and would hit: regenerate all dirty operations, which was all seven toolpaths. We would set a timer at this point. We are just using the clocks off the computer so we didn't care if we were off a minute or two, but for one computer to be done in 15 minutes and another at 1 hour and 2 minutes show a little discrepency. We had just recieved brand new computers that are "core to Duo" 3 ghz and it is running the program at 1/2 hour. Still not faster than the mystery P4 3 ghz. We noticed after we changed from a crt monitor to an LCD monitor, the crt was programing like the rest of the slower computers. We changed back to the LCD and it was faster again. HHmmmmm, Plot thickens. Thanks again.
  9. We have a might viper with that controller. I like using that controller too. We use computer stations and not program on the controller so we don't tie up machine run time. I also would not like to stand their trying to program complex 3D tool paths at the controller. We have a mold/job shop enviroment.
  10. I have a question on why one computer would perform 4 times faster than another. All 4 computers were built at the same time about 2 years ago. The computers contain P4 3 ghz proccesors. All have identical motherboards, 2 gigs of ram, hardrives, etc. We had noticed this one computer and test was using X2 MR2. This fast computer would slow down to the other slow speeds when we tested on X2 MR1. On the faster tests, we have swapped mastercam config files hoping to achieve the quicker results. Could not be done. The computer feels as if it was choking somewhere compared to the lightning boy. Any tweekers (not that kind of tweeker ) out there know how to get the optimum performance. Could this be an X2 configuration or a window's XP Pro configuration? Thanks
  11. My computer was doing that as well and found out I was hitting the sleep button on the keyboard before going home. I stopped using the sleep button and it is happy again. Even with updating with SP1, my system would exit after mastercam but would load back up.
  12. All this is great news and good work, I would like to see when in 4 viewports opened and you hit print that all the ports are printed on the same page. As of now, you can have other viewports opened but it only prints one port at a time. It would be nice not to have to xform the geometry 3 times to get it on the same page.
  13. I thought I would need an update file to update the update program. Works great now. Thanks
  14. I also had a fellow worker look at it and made sure I had nothing checked and hitting the selected icon. Maybe it was just a hick-up or something. It's not doing it now that since the rest of the files has been regenerated. Things that make you go HHHmmmmmm... Thanks billh
  15. While regenerating a facing program when selected and choosing regenerate selected items, It decided to do all of them. Some are lenghty and didn't want to do all of them at this time. Is this a known bug? Thanks
