Thank You Dave,
I assume You are talking about the tool origin button in the operation manager,
(tool parameters).
I first had to change question 165 (enable tool plane button)
in the Post to Yes in order to enable this button. once that was done it worked like a dream, thank You.
Can I just change those questions in the
post? or will that influence anything else ?
because the same may apply to any of the other questions 161 - 166. related to enabling different buttons within the tool parameters.
all my machining is generated in refference
to the system zero in mastercam, which will
then be zero on my work offset, G54 etc.
Mostly I have more components on my drawing
and to shift it I have to transform all the geometry in relation to the drawing zero.
is there a way that i can overcome that by
selecting what my machine zero will be ?
I have experimented with "Home position"
and "Refference point" in the parameter page of the operation, but that did not work.
Is there a way to do that, if Yes what is it ??
any suggestions would be appreceated,
When I rearange the sequence of operations
in the operations manager, i sometimes loose
the function of the mouse.
the further i move a specific operation
the more likely this happens.
Once i loose the mouse I have to close and re-open mastercam to get it back.
I am using Mill Ver 8.
any sugestions how I can overcome this problem ?
Peter
Keep it the way it is, the subject line
should determine if it is of interest
to a particular person or not.
please keep in mind that it may be hard to decide which category a particular problem falls into.

Peter
MY POST IS SET SO THAT I INSERT THE
PITCH, AS THE FEED RATE, THIS WAY I JUST
ALTER THE SPEED AS REQUIRED, AND THE FEED
IS CALCULATED FOR ME. I FIND THAT METHOD
MORE FLEXIBLE OVER A RANGE OF DIFFERENT
MACHINES, I.E SOME CONTROLLERS NEED THE FEED
RATE PER REVOLUTION, AND OTHERS PER MINUTE.
THE POST WILL DO THE REQUIRED CALCULATION,
BUT IN MY TOOL FILES THE FEEDRATE IS GIVEN
AS A VALUE PER REVOLUTION.
REGARDS
PETER
