Hi, the problem with the MX type cards that cursor in Mastercam will be in black as the background.

go for geforce card other than mx.

I think in other way, I think that the main problem is not sharing posts

after Installing the XP we have to download 2 files:

1. hinstall

2. hdd32

and put these files in the c:mcam8common directory

From the 'Start' menu 'Run' selection, execute these commands:

C:Mcam8Commonhinstall.exe -r

C:Mcam8Commonhinstall.exe -i

2. Files with long filenames do not show properly in Mastercam with this combination:

Mastercam style File Get dialog (set using the CNCReg util) *and* "Hide extensions for known files types" enabled in the Windows Explorer Folder Options.

Correct this by disabling "Hide extensions for known files types" in the Windows Explorer Folder Options - or using CNCReg to select the Standard style File Get dialog box.

I made upgrade from win2000 to windows xp

And I installd the histall, hdd32 from the fourm to the mcam8common

And run it from there, after running hdd32 it give me message after 30 sec

HLVDD-hardlock virtual Device

Cannot find ///FAST Hardlock Driver

And the HASP not found till now.

Any Ideas

I am making molds from Steel and Aluminum

I am using most of my work roughing, finishing using HSS tools

I used Carbide tools for finishing works, I find it nice.

Does any one using Carbide tools for Roughing works in steel or AL?

As I know, HSS is better for roughing in Steel.
