CJep,
Our machines are not assigned to individuals. That would be nice, but it's not practicle here.
Desert Guy,
I'm glad I don't work there.
Common sense is to keep the machine free of debris, way covers, pallet, table, clean. Chip auger and bin clean. The location pads on the pallets clean. Back in the day when I ran a machine the thing looked showroon new all the time. What happened to the talent pool out there.
Does anyone have a list of procedures for cleaning up your machine and area after your shift?
It seems no-one here wants to keep their machines clean. If it were up to me, heads would roll.
I have to be nice and create an S.O.P.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Correct they are lathe inserts. When I'm in a rough cycle turning a face or o.d with a DNMG 432 insert I can turn the stock recognition on. If I change the tool to a dnmg 431 mastercam gives me this error
(see attached)
When I'm doing a rough cycle with a #2 rad I can use my stock recognition. As soon as I switch to a #1 rad I can't. Why? Is there some setting that will not let me use a #1 rad for roughing?
If I set the “keep tool down within” distance too short the tool keeps popping up in “Z”. If I make the distance longer the tool stays down but doesn’t follow the geometry
I'm doing a curve 5 axis toolpath.Every once in a while the tool moves up in Z skips some of the path then comes back down in Z and continuing the pass. How do I keep the tool down?
We have 2 seats of mill level 3 , 2 seats of solids and 3 seats of lathe. There are 3 of us that use Mastercam throughout the day. Every once in a while all the seats for solids are used. The lathe guy doesn't use solids. Is there any way of finding out what computer is using the solids seat? Nhasp tells me how many are being used but I want to know who's using them.
