I've given it a try. Dont see any axis substitution in he transform toolpath so have to do it in the first hole. When i do this, it just rotates C axis 180 and starts at X+ again.
Hi,
I have a Doosan DVF5000 and have a ring that overhangs the table and need to drill holes at a PCD of about 600mm while rotating the C axis between holes. The machine travel in x is +250mm -350mm, so i need to to travel in X-. I've tried a few things, but it always want to go X+ and will over travel, if i select holes in the X- direction in mastercam, the C axis just rotates 180 and the head moves X+.
Any ideas?
Cheers
I've seen a recent video of another cam program where after programming a single part, you can go to the post processor options and set how many work offsets you would like. When it posts it will automatically add copies of the code and just add the offset # before the copied code, you can even get it to sort by operation/tool/offset.
Is this possible in MC? or do you have to make copies and manually change the offset in each operation?
Cheers
Why do i have this , and how do I remove this squiggly path the tool takes at the beginning and end of a spiral cut.
I've tried playing around with the tolerances etc but no luck.
Thanks
Update: Fixed by changing the "keep tool down" distance
Having trouble finding the right roughing toolpath to machine this part. The semi transparent bit is the stock and im trying to do the ID which is cut by a cylinder at 30 degrees. Preferably start at the bottom and work my way up. opti area works ok but i cant seem to set multiple step overs, so it just plunges into the stock,
