I recall seeing an aftermarket or add on to help control shop floor documentation from within mastercam.
Any idea where to find this again or links to other software would be appreciated.

hello all
Im currantly trialing a 5 axis post from our dealer for a mazak Vortex with fanuc control.
My question is why would I need to input tool length when posting. The post has an option not to but tool paths at the machine are differant.
I'm wondering if this is a machine option or parameter.
Its a second hand machine so not much help from machine supplier available.
Any enlightenment would be much appreciated.
Cheers
We have 4 DMU 50e with TNC 430 controls.
If its down to 2 options get the Micron.
We call our Deckels the Tampons
Good for three weeks , big trouble for one.

Help
Can anyone supply me with a drawing for a Cat50 Mazak thru coolant pullstud for our new Vortex machine. Seems bloody hard to get info here as its seems to be a USA spec. I,m after the thru coolant detail more than anything.
If it can be e-mailed or put on FTP site it would be much appreciated.
Cheers.
Hello All
Ran a high feed cutter recently with great sucsess but some one mentioned that they shouldn't be used on machines with ceramic bearings.
Any Comments or correct infomation would be appreciated.

Hello all
Can the geometry for this type of insert endmill
be input some how.
If yes will Mastercam use the geometry when processing toolpaths.
Tried a few options with facemill but its not happening for me.

Oh to be able to tell the QA people something.
I dream of such a world.
Thanks for the replys.
We are using good quality drills capable of H7 tolerance holes that are checked regulary and for the most part we are producing good quality tapped holes that gauge fine.
Its the grey area between a perfect thread to the engineers book ( QA ) and what is actualy practicle in a production inviroment.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Hello All
We are starting to use roll form taps a lot more on materials other than aliuminium. (stainless, copper, steel, tool steel ect.)
No problems with the taps or tool life, in fact much better results than with cut taps but not achieving core diameter even though thread gauges
OK with NO/NoGo gauge.
QA are all over this and we are scrapping good parts in my opinion.
Can anyone point me to a procedure / tolerances to measure internal roll form threads or any other infomation that may help.
Cheers
