Can some one please advise on any settings that will reduce time to process tool paths.
New PC is not an option at this stage.
Maybe Santa will help.
Thanks in advance.

We are trying to put a tool path on a outside fillet around a irregular shaped pocket.
When using flowline not all the surfaces align to the same direction. Trying to machine from top to bottom of fillet.
Is ther a way to flip , cut direction of idividual surfaces .
Any other stratergies for this type of cut.

Thanks all
Rotary settings worked well.
But where is that in the instruction book. There must be a heap of things Mcam can do that are not documented.

The Machine is a Dekel 50E 5 axis.
C axis will rotate, Tool is to stay at X0 and only move in Y & Z.

Its not a cone as such , but a cone shape with a curve.
I,d like somthing similar to contour 3d with rotary motion.

How would I program a helix on the outside of a cone type shape and post for a rotary table. The helix is no problem to create but I cant figure out a method.

Make sure all ops have same NCI destination.
We have come across similar crashs that dont show in verify and its because an op within a group hasnt been posted because the NCI file has a differant name.

The only place Ive managed to get some are YG1
or prototyp. But weve only needed metric.

We have one for a DMU 50E TNC 430 control that is close to being OK. Only need to modify drilling slightly.
I'll e-mail to you if you want.

We do that at present. We have 2 seats of Mcam and it can get missed resulting in parts of a group not getting posted causing 3 resonable crash's so far.
Is there a way of forcing Mcam to post whole group regardless of NCI name???.
Cheers

We have set save NCI to current M/Cam file name in screen config.
Problem is that if file name gets changed and some new operations programed, when posting it leaves the new operations out of the posted program.
Each tool has its own group with many operations within that group.
Select all , change NCI destination fixs problem but is there a way to insure all operations get posted within a group regardless of NCI destination.

What do I need to do to produce a HTML setup sheet that shows all the tools used.
Each tool is in its own group with several operations within that group.
The HTML setup sheet at presnt shows only one group with the same tool shown as many times as used within that group.
Thanks In Advance.

Ive imported a DXF into Mcam. Its an engraving emblem with small arcs everywhere.Rad 0.19mm
Mcam displays these arcs as a zigzag and not a curve although they analyze OK.If I draw an arc it comes out the same.Im also having lots of probs with the tool path.(cutter comp not sucssesfull).Chain analyzes OK.
In a new drawing an arc drawn at this rad looks fine.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Does any one post from mastercam in Mazatrol native format.(post from cimco?)
I would like to hear any opinions or comments .
Is it true mazatrol ?
We currently run ISO programs but this can lead to problems if there is adjustment to be made at the machine.

My Fathers saying

Another way is double sided sticky tape or you can get a wax paper from Mite Bite that you place parts on - heat to 180F then cool, after mahining reheat and parts come off.
-
Analysed chain and no problems everdent.
Can move start point around so it seems to be closed.
What chaining options are you talking about.
-
I seem to get error message containment boundarys cannot be nest or overlap on a regular basis.
When clearly the do not over lap and there is only one chain.
The boundary is a curve created on the suface edge.
Any tips to overcome this. Using V9 SP1
Thanks
