Thanks guys! Shortly after my post I did the search and found the info needed, Chritian you put it very plain and easier to understand (now I can explain to my Supervisor).

Calling all 5 axis gurus. Can somebody explain dynamic compensation to me? Is that what makes the difference between a true 5 axis machine and say maybe a 3 + 2 axis? I have been told that some machines require you to repost each time you probe a part, we run 2 shifts here and sometimes need to take our parts out for 2nd shift. We have Hermles now, but I have never really heard of this. Thanks.

Pete, I do see where the drawing.prm file in the C:mcamxcommonprm dir was changed about 10 days ago. That is about when I am told the problem started. Could this be it?

Morning all. I was wondering if anybody out there has ever had a problem with their ProE converter. We have 5 identical stations running X MR2/SP2, now one of our stations can't bring in a ProE file. All we get is a blank screen and file shows no entities. All the other stations work fine. I'm stumped any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. Try to save the point data as a text file, then open it under all files in Mastercam. Then you can use the point data to create your geometry for the custom tool.

Chris, I know it's got to be really hard for you to think about it, but you can get up every day. You seem to be seeing improvements as well as your doctors. You still get to be with your family, it could have been much worse for you and for them. Try, as hard as it may be to keep focus on the positives. Keep your family and friends close, you are lucky to be alive and on the mend. Get well soon and remember there are lots of people praying and pulling for you to return to your normal life.
