  1. thanks for all the advise..will try tonight.... my main pc is using quadro.....just wanna try on this card...if good then can gaming at the same time.... thanks
  2. Tried to use the above mentioned card on MasterCam 8 and MasterCam 9.1. The cursor seem to be lagging and the card seem to be unusable for Mastercam 8 & 9.... Have used X1950pro before and the application runs smoothly.... This card is supposedly better than the previous model.... Can anyone advised on this issue? Need to meddle with the driver setting? Thanks in advance
  3. Can someone confirm whether GATES HTD belt can be fitted to any pulley of the same pitch? Or only can be fitted to pulley from GATES? Regards
  4. I have never encountered a more idiotic customer in my life...... He requested for a prototype for HTD (High Torque Drive)3M 100T.. I prototype the pulley based on his cad and the belt he passed me (double sided) can't be fitted in.......keep pestering me for a solution but insisted that the belt passed to me and the cad dwg is in order...... Now i suspect that the belt is not intended for the 100T pulley. Can someone confirmed that one 3M HTD belt can be fitted to any number of 3M groove? Plus the fitting of the belt need any slight fitting strength? or can be smoothly fitted into the groove without much force?
  5. Planning to get one new PC @ home to do simple breaking of dwg and at the same time play games....hence would like to check whether ATI HD2900XT is compatible with MC9.....
  6. can someone teach me how to setup the config files for multisession of V9? thanks
  7. Hi all... Thanks for the replys and advise. I just built the PC yesterday The system as below Intel 940 Pentium 3.2GHZ Dual core L2 (2MB x2) Mobo MSI 945 Neo2-F Ram TwinMos 2GB 553 DDR (1GBx2) Seagate 160GB 7200 RPM Sata II Leadtek Nvidia Quadro FX540 128MB PCI express I just install MC9 SP1 and tried to open a parasolid file (file size abt 22MB). When i tried to shade the solid, the screen appeared a HD pic which shown the program memory has reached bottleneck (if i'm not wrong...). Can someone advise cos when i tried to open this file on my existing system i'm using which is lower in configuration in term of graphic card and ram, did not have that HD icon........ [i'm in the midst of transferring my data hence unable to update all my programs] Thanks in advance.
  8. Going to change the PC hence contemplating between either P4 or AMD. Can anyone advise? Me still using Mastercam 9 SP1. In addition, is PCI-E better than AGP when running MC? Thanks
  9. I'm using 8.1 and 9 concurrently....more used to 8.1 .. My company didn't purchase the x version.... By the way, is it much better? As for the method that solve the errors, by creating more geometry and entities such as surfaces, the program will reach bottle-neck and the whole system will become very lagging......becos my work is more to prototyping and hence alot of 3D profiles so alot of entities will slow down my programming...
  10. Hi flycut.... Not only that......other gears also....which i have create myself.....i have encountered last time also and contacted the local agent and they just blame the whole thing on the bugs???? So the only solution i have is to transform the whole series of operation as new ones including the geometry also...
  11. I have encountered umpteen times of error due to transforming operations and most of the error occurs when i'm programming the cutting of gears and pulley When i backplot the single operation, things seem to be ok but when i backplot the transform operation, things start to go haywire such as missing one cut of the teeth be it gears or pulleys. Has anyone encounter this type of errors?
  12. hi flycut Received your mail.......but i need the profile in 2D just like gear which can be create in mastercam.....sorry i didn't state clearly.. Possible to have it in 2D profile.... Thanks alot for ur effort and kindness Greatly appreciated! Charles
  13. thanks for the tips pics link here http://tinypic.com/fkuotg.jpg The OD of the pulley is Dia 6.01 mm 20 grooves Hope someone can advise me
  14. Good day philcott I understand that Mastercam can't read pfd format... I have tried coverting the pdf to dwg but the convertion is not correct....(thought of converting the file and scale the profile according to the specification) BTW, how to attached pics for u to view?
