Good day all
I'm trying to make 2 flats, parallel, .437 across the flats. I can get the first one but in backplot and verify the X axis goes thru the piece to x-1.6*** and then comes back to the pos side and then goes and machines the 2nd flat. This is my 1st time doing this on my own and I am becoming bilingual, english and profanitiy! I have tried chaining the second side in a different direction and still no luck. Nobody else here has any idea how a C axis even works. I'm using MCX MR2. The lathe has live tooling and a full C axis. How would I capture the screen so that i could put it up on the board? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance
Thanks for your suggestions guys, we'll give it a go. if all else fails, we're gonna heat up the spot where the hole is to be and drill thru with a mason drill, dry. Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Good Morning Everybody
Quick question, we have a job that came into our shop this morning and the material is "Rol-Man" a type of Astroloy. The spec sheet states not to use twist drills as it will work harden the hole. Is there any way around this? I have seen many posts here with people struggling with exotic materials and seeing lots of answers to those questions. Can anybody help with an answer for me. Thanks in advance and enjoy the day

yup
i have a job going in our little lathe, in the main prgm, just before the M98 i have G10 P5 W0.0001; this counts the # of 6 foot lengths done and then in the sub prgm G10 P5 U0.0001; this counts my total parts. I found out the "hard" way that it will only work up to 5000 pcs or 0.5000 in the offset. Nothing crashed or wrecked, just scratched my head for a while and the zeroed out the 0.5000 and then holy cow, back in business. enjoy the day

Hello
I use G10. example G10 P5 U0.0001. wear offset 5 increases by 1 every time it it read. I put right before the M99. The "P" can be wear offset. Just aplly it to a tool that you are NOT using otherwise you will have problems. Hope this is helpful

I like your enthusiazime (sp). This will be the first time using the G112 function. Already too many guys in this shop that embrace, "stick it in and hit the button". some of them are not here anymore. thanks for the confidence boost though! thanks for all your help

Todd84 Thank you very much it WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Axela 06 Merci bon ami !!! How is the snow over there?
The end mill does the ruff pass, goes back up to the G30 position then comes back down for the finish pass. Now to put tool to metal. Gonna try this in nylon first. Cheers Gentlemen

Good day all
I have been using Mastercam 8.1 for years and have been learning X MR2 the baptism by fire way. I have live tool, C axis lathe and I am trying mill a 0.625" square (polar interpolation) and am going to ruff and finish with the same 0.375 e/mill, soft material. When I back plot the tool path it looks fine, the roughing depth for Z is 0.49" and C 1.02", finishing Z depth 0.5" and C 1". Yet when I post it, I am only getting the roughing tool path and not the finish path as well. The other guys in here are scared of MCX and I am the only one useing it. I enjoy a challenge but this is crazy. I am a "turner" and do very little milling, "stick in, hit button". Any help would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

We have a fadal with a 0i control with little memory and for HUGE programs we run it off of the card. I tried to start at an N001, N002 reading from the card and got the same results as you. I do not think it can be done. I tried a few different things and it still tanked. Sorry, maybe someone else out there knows something we don't.
