  1. Hey guys, I updated to V8 and have a history of 2000 mc7 files to deal with. If I want to edit any one of these, my proven programs in v7 suddenly become timebombs for the shop floor. How about the z stock to leave box? It used to be in the depth cut dialogue. If you were doing a finish pass, all you had to do is copy the roughing, change the tool and turn off the depth cuts box. Now version eight goes into this old box and pulls out stock to leave and puts it into z stock to leave in the contour parameter page. Suddenly I am having all of my finish passes staying too high. What's up with this? If the depth cuts box is off, why is v8 stealing info from there? (the v7 equivalent)Is it just to **** me off? Apples for apples please. klaus
  2. What is the deal with the job setup's button for changing a feed on an arc move? I have machines that suffer from interpolation error in the mainly 2D machining that I do. I get the feeds cranked and want to slow down the finish pass corner feeds, to combat the stretching or cutting of radii. If I use the adjust feed on arcs function, Mastercam will process the complete NCI file and slow down my roughing lead in/out arc moves, my helix ramping entries and any other arc moves that I do not really want slowed down. Is ther a way (not in my controllers) that I can get Mastercam to slow arc feeds only on certain operations defined by myself?
  3. Been using mastercam for a couple of years now, just taking a look. I am in a production aluminum shop in Ontario.
