The machine was a Quantum it was a 50 taper with 40 tool changer. the table size was about 4feet by 8 feet with 40 inches of z travel. The model was a Q1500.

If you have machine that can take. I used a fette 1"ball nose .255 deep .050 step over at 9000 rpm and 250 inches per min. Look out becase the chips will be ever where

We had about 6 inches when I went to bed last night. I woke up to about 14 inches where I live and got to work and they only have about 4 inches I love the Snow.

They are calling for up to 12 inches of snow. I moved for Pa to get rid of this.

What I meant was that all cad software can pretty much do the same things. Yes some software takes longer than others. They all have their differences and their good and bad features. I used Ideas making solid model and like that software. I was also think that if anyone was useing cad sofware currently than they don't have rocks in their head.

I to started by using Smart Cam. You will find that Master Cam will be easy to learn. In time you forget all about Smart Cam. All cad software is about the same to use. I'm currently learnig Pro-E.

If it wher my money I would buy a machine that is built to last. I like Okuma mills controls are good and the machine run very good.
