  1. I know that you can do it with Mastercam but don't know how to set it up. Wait till the west coast guys log on. Some of them can probably tell you in their sleep.
  2. We cut a lot of ren shape. On steep slopes I use Parallel with it as a one way going down the slope. To keep the chipping down use a shape endmill instead of a ball nose. It takes a littl getting use to but they work well. The ren shape 5008 is the worst. The 440 and 450 machine good. To get any 5 axis cutting to lineup perfect you may have to abjust your work offsets a little if your machine is not in tram.
  3. Have good operator that don't crash
  4. Is the machine in tram? I ran a thermwood and the A or B axis would come out of tram very easy. that could cause you some problems
  5. I think that the ref tool length is a pivot length. The lenght from the spindle hard point the the end of the tool.
  6. Not to get political but I think that the last bush should have done more in 1991 when our troops went over seas. I agree with you Brendan. Keith
  7. One of my coworkers tried v9 out sometime ago and said that his biggest complaint was that all of the mis value reset them selves after ever operation. I had some time with v9 and seem to remember that the was downloadable undate that correced this. Do i remember correctly or not? Thank you keith

  12. I know that there is company out of canada I think tronto? That has worked on making post for a Par 5 axis router. I know that they are members of this fourm and I have talked to them in the past. If anyone know there name or is from that company I would like to contact them. Thanky You
  13. I cant see the pics. We are working on 5 axis cutting for wind tunnel models.
  14. I have had that happed before but I don't why it happens
  15. Do you know how they are cooling the forgings. If they don't have a way to controll the cooling process you will have a lot of vairation in the hardness of they. That is what will give you a lot of problems with the outside hardness.
  16. Master Cam is very good with 5 axis machineing. The one problem that we have is with 5 axis drilling. in version 7 it worked fine but in version 8 and 9 there seems to be problems. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it something in master cam or the post?
  17. i thought that once a year they would blow up killing everyone that was inside.
  18. I have to agree with your boss.
  19. Some times the old school and the basic stuff turns out to be best.
  20. Jimmy I have heard of people talking about the post cd. From what I understand this helps one start to learn how to edit posts. Is this correct and is there a charge for it? Thank You Keith
