Is it possible?
I have a intricate contour that I need to cut around a cylinder and would like my 1/4" cutter to cut on Y0.125 and Y-0.125 at times. Not sure if this is possible without the multi-axis version of Mastercam X5.
Thanks
Is there a way, when I verify a program that uses the 4th axis, to have the part move around my A-axis - rather than the tool? Like when I backplot?
Thanks
I rarely do any 4axis work, but I have 20 holes I need to drill on a 10" diameter cylinder. I drew all the points in their proper locations around the circumference of the part. In my drilling operation I have selected each point one at a time, set my Linking Parameters, and used Axis substitution of the Y axis.
When I verify, the holes that it does drill look fine. The problem is that it doesn't drill all of my holes. Right now it looks like it is only drilling holes in the 0-90 degree and 180-270 degree quadrants?
The PC I use at work is brand new and has a AMD FirePro v3800 graphics card.
This is what I see when I verify the majority of my programs. Some are not as bad as this example, but 99% of the time there are problems with the graphics.
Any help appreciated. Thanks
I'm cutting a 60 degree taper on the side of a block, and am finishing it with a 3/4" ball. I would like to start at the bottom of the taper (Z-) and have my tool move up (Z+) each pass.
Thanks
I'm trying to get either method #2 or #3 to work, but for some reason I am not getting a new work offset # when it attempts to machine the other piece? I have a feeling I am missing something? I have copied the Transfrom Toolpath Parameters menus identically.
Thanks
I dont have SolidWorks, it is an old file from a customer. I was mainly just confused as to why it would open in X2 when X was installed, but not after I un-intalled X. It never would open in X.
