  1. Thad, What can a guy do to use Moldplus in the new MR1?
  2. For some reason the post will not output long code when I change the "usecanchip" setting. It does, however, when the "usecanned" setting is changed to no. Hopefully, since changing feeds and speeds upon entry is becoming more common, someone can figure out how to post this without editing. I'll work on it when I have more time. We're at 50+ hours a week already! I don't believe the controller has a canned cycle that will do this, but I'll do more research. Thanks for everyones help.
  3. I am drilling 4340 with a Kennametal Sculptured Edge 10x diameter drill. I need to slow down the Speed and Feed upon entry then change back to normal. I am spot drilling before hand. Does anyone know how I can post this? Is there a canned cycle that will allow this? I am using Mastercam V9.01 with mpmaster.pst. Controller is a Fanuc 18M on a Hitachi Seiki VS60. Thanks
  4. I use the Graphical Interface setup sheet and would like to modify the Tool list so it will put in the max. Z depth for each tool. Does anyone know if this is possible. Thanks
  5. Accu-Molder, I tried your suggestion. The tool stayed the same depth through the hole toolpath. So then I put the same value in the "adjustment to other cuts", but made it a negative and it worked for this particular situation. I'll keep "playing" with the incremental side of cut depths. I am still learning that side of it. Thanks.
  6. Sounds like the machine controller is reading a G61 and decelerating at each move.
  7. I am plunging out material for a motorcycle seat base mold. The Surface Rough Plunge operation is generating an unnecessary toolpath that cuts air at Z0, or whatever I set my minimum cut depth to, before it cuts to the appropriate depths relative to the surfaces and stock to leave. I am using a NCI generated toolpath. I can get it to work correctly if the surface is flat and I set my absolute cut depths to the same value, but when the surfaces are not flat, I can't keep the cut depths the same because it plunges out material that I want to keep. Any ideas? Thanks.
  8. What I have modified myself I have pulled from the Mpmaster.pst, but it got a little over my head. Roger Martin has made a post for me, but I haven't tried it out yet. Just got the attachment from him a minute ago, but I'm in the middle of a quick turn around part. Thanks,
  9. "Below is what mppaster posts." Make that mpmaster. Troy P. Marker
  10. Below is what mppaster posts. The overall max/min and the max/min tool Z heights. It works great, especially for 3D work, so we know how far we can hang to tool past the collet without unnecessarily loosing rigidity and also not crashing into the vise. The overall min/max is only at the beginning of the program and specifies the lowest and highest point of all tools. The max/min is at every tool change and specifies the lowest and highest point of only that tool. (OVERALL MAX | Z.3) (OVERALL MIN | Z-1.7297) G00 G17 G20 G40 G49 G80 G90 ( #3 CENTERDRILL ) T1 M06 (MAX | Z.3) (MIN | Z-.85) G00 G90 G54 X7.8166 Y1.5534 S2293 M03 T18 Thanks, Troy P. Marker
  11. Does anybody know how to modify the mpfadal2.pst to post overall and individual Z heights like in the mpmaster.pst. I have the items in parenthesis posting, but can't get the actual heights/depths to post correctly. Thanks, Troy P. Marker
  12. How does a Coromill 390 End Mill compare to Ingersoll's High Positive 12J1B End Mill. We use the 12J1B and it gives us a lot of flexibility. Has anyone used both and which did you like better? Thanks!
  13. We use a Komet System. Works well. Pretty pricey though.
  14. Does anyone know of a good Mastercam post for a Charmilles 440 WEDM with a Fanuc Millenium Control. There are two generic Fanuc posts out of the box, but we don't know which one will work. Thanks. Happy Holidays!
  15. James, Sorry for spelling your last name incorrectly.
