  1. my mastercam and also Temp is on C drive ( ssd ) , but shared mastercam folder is on the NAS ( for easier access among other mastercam installations ) whether i have shading on or off doesnt matter , regarding slow when using Solid Chaining ,,, what do you think about mastercam recalculating spun profile everytime , no matter if the solid is changed or not graphics card is up to date
  2. the PC i think is ok , have no other problems than slow when using Solid Chaining Win 10 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900 CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz RAM 32,0 GB 64-bit operativsystem, x64 Nvidia Quadro P 2200 anybody got similar problem ?
  3. when using solid chaining in lathe , the system becomes very, very slow , especially on bigger complex parts , dialogs can take up to 2-3 minutes to open every time . for me to see mastercam recalculates the spun profile every time a dialog is opened and modified , the right way to do it would be that mastercam only recalculetes the profile if solid is changed if you instead uses wireframe spun profile one time , the dialogs opens instant and no problems anybody got a solution for this problem ?
  4. anybody knows if mastercam will be making live b axis turning ( with 3d tools ) ( A axis on milling MT machines ) ,, or does an add-on exist with this functionality ? curve 5 axis can be used but code has to be edited and inserted manually , does not have the flexibility that this example shows .
  5. it worked with dropbox client , instead of direct download , thanks
  6. The latest 2019 version from " so not a guru " stops downloading from Dropbox after 80 Mb , have tried also yesterday , is the file complete ?
  7. i once saw a strategy in adv. multiaxis machining that could do automatic 3+2 surfacemilling am i wrong ? , i cant find it now , anybode can help ? i have a part now that has a whole lot of machining , and undercuts , maybe it could help me ?
  8. thanks , i knew that would be nice with a seperate installer for toolmanager in future releases
  9. anyone know if Toolmanager is available as standalone installer ? it does not require the hasp to be in the computer i have recognised i have a Zoller presetter , and would be very nice to have the toolmanager installed ,,, but of course not the complete mastercam package
  10. thanks , i did it via boolean operations in solidworks , its pretty accurate , but not 100 pct . a thing for mastercam to consider for the future releases today manufacturers of end mills for dynamic mill often specify volume instead of cutting time , thats why i wanted to do this
  11. anybody know a way to calculate volume removed of a set of toolpaths in verify , simulation ?
  12. i have had the same thoughts about DNMG ( or a positive 55 deg insert ) adjusted so that upper and lower lead angle is the same and using a rather big nose rad. so that i dont get problems with chips up the insert on my Integrex i will try this next time i have an approiate job .
  13. i installed the add-on and tried to make a few toolpaths . se attached mcam file , and picture isnt it possible to mak a a zig zag toolpath ? , so that the tool goes forward and back without retracts ? on the sandvik website i see that to tool is designed to go in both directions i can make it go forward og backward , but not zig zag prime-test.mcam
  14. thanks ,,, i have downloaded and installed is it an inhouse product ? , since it wasnt in the mcam install media
  15. Have installed mcam 2018 mill and turn ,,, but i cant see the sandvik Prime turning cycles ? anybody know , is it an add on ? anybody got a sample mcam sample file ? http://www.mastercam.com/en-us/Communities/Partners/Cutting-Tool-Partners/PrimeTurning
  16. I know , but This is a simple testpart , just so its easy to show you , the parts i do HERE on my Factor is more complicated geometry ,, its important that its one oper because of need for optimal surface through the whole port
  17. thanks to you all i have now done all the solutions you came up with , see attached mcx file nothing really produces a satisfying result , but im glad that that there will be a solution soon for the morph/spiral . for the solution Aaron came with the bottom of the toolpath is missing surfaces on level 3 moduleworks question - 5 toolpaths.mcam
  18. have now tried with Coons surface and then a flowline toolpath ,,,, better but still not good and also the Coons toolpath ,,, the same
  19. i totally agree ,,, i thought maybe there was a way to fill in extra passes or calculate pattern/passes according to the tool rather than the surface
  20. could be possible in the example i uploaded , but often these are multisurfs and not easy to arrange so that its possible to use Coons it would be best for me to use moduleworks
  21. ok ,,, im curious if any other have a solution ? , its a problem for me often for the tol. , it is just this test part , i normally use 0,01 mm
  22. anybody knows how to make the morph toolpath , so the pattern is more equal ( like oper 2 ) , so the tool does like the old "blend " toolpath the moduleworks toolpath is better in many occations since it can calculate the correct pos for start - end , but not good with this geometry i have made a test part and attached , anybody ? moduleworks question.mcam
  23. YES ,,, i use it instead of a blend toolpath . i think i have found the solution for my problem ( output pattern ) ,,, thanks anybody have a newer Help fil ?? , this is from 2013
