  1. Hi all

Our Haas-fadal's hold about .0005 (per side)

Our OKK's are a bit better, but we still have to fuss with them for any real true positioning.

This is my method (when it's practicle)

I put a point in the center and use it as the first chain, and the full circle for the second chain. I use both entry and exit lines and arcs with entry and exit points checked.

Sometimes I still have to useboreing heads, custom carbide form tools, and reamers. There just doesn't seam to anything that works for everything.

  3. Good morning all

This project will not leave me alone.

I will be makeing a 25" long part with two .937 diameter holes thru it. I intend to use our 50t horizontal for the travel, and hand load a .937 diam. spade drill 13" .long, with thru coolant. We will drill entry(pilot) holes ,then drill more than half way thru each side with a spade, and Oringed caps will seal the ends of part.

Thanks for all the prevoiuse tips, I think I used a little bit of each post. cheers.gif

Are any of you guys produceing a drill that I could use?

  4. I use the solid layout feature for this.

If the part was scaled .25 to fit the paper.

    I scale the drafting 4x.

Then I put the demtions about where the print has them.

If the print is metric , I draw metric, line check it, then scale it beforte programming.
