  1. When I am tapping more than one hole... as this morning tapping several hundred in one part and I hit slide hold in order to check the first hole after I restart it it looses the G84.2 or something. It resumes tapping under the feed and speed it is set at with the control knobs rather than the cycle in the program. Does anyone understand what Im talking about and if so is there a way I can make it resume with the correct feed and speed?
  2. Do we have the proper gages for checking the threads on the light bulb and the socket?
  3. Thank you all again... cant wait for it to get back up and running so I can check it out. Yes IowaJim and also the Battle of Agincourt October 25, 1415. I love the history of the Longbow.

  6. CAM Disciple that worked like a charm... thank you all for your help. Im slowly learning my way around the Mastercam post and I might have more questions before its over. Is there a manual out there somewhere that I could purchase so I dont have to bother you guys everytime especially with the stupid questions Im sure Ill have. You guys ROCK!!!! THANX!!
  7. OK Im checking all this out... the post processers I worked with in Feature Cam were completely different from the ones here in Mastercam so some to this is greek to me right now. Peter in some of the smaller metric taps .010 per rev makes a lot of differance when useing rigid tapping .. no spring loaded holders.
  8. Im havent had a chance to learn my way around the post in Mastercam yet and here where Im working now we do alot of parts with metric and english tapped holes. I often use a metric tap and convert it over to english. But my post only post the feed with two decimal places. How can I change my post so that it post the rigid tap feed in five decimal places the same as in the feed rate box in Parameters for that operation?
  9. The name Longbow? I build my own longbows. Sort of a hobby... or maybe an obsession. Ever since I made my first hickory longbow and killed a deer with it Ive been adicted. Thank you all for the welcome.. I look forward to getting time to check out more of the post.
  10. Yes Katie... I spent all day yesterday with Chris writeing a program for an augar... took us alittle over eight hours... this thing is awesome..Ill have to see if I can get a picture of it up somehow... the MC9 file is over 14 meg. and the part is only 7 inches long and 4 inches dia at the largest part.
  11. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.. My real name is Jeff and Im with Caudells Machine and Tool In Commerce GA. Ive only been useing Mastercam now for 6 months. The place I was currently with for the last 14 years actually used Feature Cam. Now I prefer MasterCam.
  12. We are useing Mechanical desktop and converting solids we have no problem.. other than solids I dont know about but incase this will help... from Mechanical Desktop we Export/Desktop ACIS... select the part you want to export and click enter and save to a file... Then from MasterCam we use the SAT Converter and we have never had any problems. Not sure this is what your looking for but maybe it will help.
