Just hides it I believe. Did you check "Lines and Arcs" when you created the bounding box ? If so you just pick them and delete.

In your stock set-up , uncheck "Display"

Just curious what type of part this is ? Could you put it in a vise and use and indicator or edge finder to get at least reference dimmensions ? How accurate do you need to be ?

No , not in X. I inserted a bitmap into Solidworks and tried to "trace" it with crappy results. I ended up just starting from scratch with a new drawing.

I tried to do that yesterday and it was a real pain in the A$$ . I would suggest getting as many measurements as you can with mics' , calipers , gauge pins , radius gauges , etc.... to keep the spline sketching to a minimum.

I've been using X for about 3 months ALMOST exclusively. I go back to V9 once in a while just so I don't totally forget how to use it.

M19 will orient the spindle. Add a P value for a specific angle.

Do you have "Force Tool Change" checked in the Tool Parameters page ?

If you've backed up the Config Folder , I belive your toolbar and key mapping files are good to go as well. Not sure bout' the Updates though.

Yup , same exact problem I had. All I remember doing is the "repair install" for Solidworks , re-start , and all has been good since.

I had a similar problem awhile back. I had to switch the file type drop down to "all files" , then double click on the file.

Look closely at the file extension. Is it sldprt or sld ?
