Last week I loaned a dell workstation laptop with nvidia quadro 2fx graphics. it was very fast. but when i tried pulling the screen resolution bar to the right (can't remember how much), my MC took 20 secs to load and slowed on all functions. things turned to normal when i returned the res to the previous setting. i dunno why it happens but i hope this helps.

I just conducted a basic training on Mastercam Mill for a stamping die company. I plan to customize their training for the advance class (I focused a lot on drill toolpath, masking, sorting and autodrill in the basic training). What do you guys find the most useful tools available in Mastercam?

10 -12 people, ranging from those who are expert designer, CNC programmer to those who don't know how to use the computer keyboard!

Honestly, I think trainers who spend time with the trainees to go through the lessons at their pace are much more appreciated than trainers who is too busy covering the lessons on time. I get a lot of thank yous by giving them attention. i get a lot of comments for improvements when I rush to cover all the topics. i don't earn much, satisfaction mostly comes from appriciative trainees. so most of the time i try to avoid crowded classes and extend class hours...what do u guys think?

I had a educational client recently who requested that I do Mastercam on-site training in the shopfloor itself so that they can readily machine their projects they've done on the training. To my suprise, a full program with a backplot simulation of 41 minutes took 4 hours to machine.... what went wrong? The machine was a denford triac CNC. Is there any way to get a more accurate estimate? Thanks in advance.

I've seen the mistakes u mentioned in the training I've conducted, too. I think how new users find it difficult to browse through the Mastercam's Main menus quite common occurence (they quickly forget the location of the commands, options and setting.... and ask for the same location thing again and again!)

Hi guys, I've been a Mastercam user previously but recently I've appointed as a Mastercam trainer with my new employer. Anyway, is there any resource that has information about what are the popular mistakes done by new user, bad practices done and implementation failure for Mastercam and its root causes anywhere on the web? Thanks in advance...
