so I am familiar with the 2d chamfer from the drop down and use it often. I use it for chamfs on holes ect. I am wondering about just a pocket (flat bottom) that has side walls with chamfs. on an electrode. So the trode will need the over burn per/side. I guess I can play around with the 2-d chamf. drop down for that as well.? In any case it was just a question I have wondered about for awhile.!

So I wrote that post in kinda a rush! I am using just 2-d contour on a boundry pass, using 2021. I typically run into this when programing an electrode that requires overburn. So if the chamf mill is .01 tip dia. + 45 degs, and I am using .01 overburn it wants to follow the body size?

I have always found that I am unable to profile a boundry with a chamf mill using the tip diameter? It always wants to use the "body" dia. Is there a way of doing this without creating new offset boundries?

Thanks for that tip! i saw the option for leaders ect. but was missing the add button! Seems like an extra step but they added a ton of functionality to notes it looks like.

So I just starting using 2021 and i'm not seeing how to get a label on a note? In 2019 the option was on the front page either choose note or label? Did a search also but not finding anything? Im probably looing right at it and not seeing it!

So just to clarify some, I’m not trying alter the posted file as Rstewart I think is having me go? And the active report that JP is speaking of is that in config. Reports? I see there several options but I’m not seeing any thing that has a tag “comments” that you refer to? Sorry for my confusion on this!

So my question is when I select tool list from operation manager it does not show the comments from my tool path? Is there a way to have it list my comments? I would also like it to list all my operation from the tool list. I am using version 2019. Thanks for any help!

Just tried Mastercam box font and it gives arcs now?? Seemed like earlier on it was only giving me lines? So anyways problem is solved!

We are just using a stick font and making a pass on the centerline. I noticed that there is a arial true type font but its not usable for me. I would end up having to do a pocket pass, when a single pass on the centerline is all that's needed for us.

This may be more curiosity than anything, and it may have been hashed over before and i'm not seeing it? Im using 2019 and when I hover my mouse over "create letters" in the wireframe area a window appears and says "create alphanumeric characters comprised of lines, arcs, and nurb splines". So when I create letters using generic stick font or box font it gives me only lines and no arcs? Im thinking there is a way to output as the "window" says, arcs? is there a setting I can change to achieve this?

I do have the levels manager sitting over on my second screen but it still gets taken over whenever I go to another module? Not quite sure I understand what you mean by "un-parking"?

So I am using 2019 and I like to be able to have my layer level always visible as I am using 2 screens. What currently happens is when I go to drafting or surface creation I loose the level manager to the drafting or surfacing and have to exit out before I see my level display again? Is there a way of doing this?

So drafting stick font seems to be working for the upper and lower case! Thanks for your help!

So I just used mastercam box font to come up with just "stick" letters to use for engraving. This works pretty good for upper case. I will try some other fonts as you suggested and hopefully find something thanks!

So I'm using the "create letters" mode in 2019 and it seems to not recognize lower case letters? is there a trick to this? I did a search and didn't come up with anything

What happened to the "enable all" button that we had with 2018? Seems to be missing with 2019? You can disable all ( in auto curser) but not enable. This comes in pretty handy sometimes.

having trouble getting a smooth cut when using surface finish project and selecting arcs as boundries to profile? I have tried just about every option under tolerance and smoothing options? any advise on what I'm missing? ( I have pdf attached) JAGGED PROFILE.pdf
